It was nice to stay at Fosshotel Reykjavik. Staffs were helpful and friendly, close to the bus stop, and they had a small deli/shop on the ground floor. Breakfast was good, full range of food, and their croissant was delicious.

Nice hotel , clean and spacious . We had rooms on the 13th floor which I did pay extra for but it was worth it for the amazing view including the northern lights on the last night . We ate in the burger bar on one night food was good and staff are lovely. Really friendly reception staff. Location is right next to bus stop 12 so very easy for tour pick up especially at 8am when it is really cold . Beds are soft and comfortable. Overall a great city centre hotel.

The stay was fine actually. Your email said “how was the check in”. It was not good. I chose foss hotel specifically because it advertised as having ‘parking’. That is no more true than me saying I have parking living in London. Sure you can park in London if you try hard enough. Just nothing to do with my house. So arrive after 3 hour drive. No obvious place to drop off. Pulled up on pavement as the ONLY choice not being on the road and blocking coaches. Receptionist told me we might get fined there. When I asked where the parking was it’s just roll the dice. You might be able to park on street outside. We couldn’t. You could try the public underground parking next door. I worked out it would cost £90 for one overnight. About half the cost of the room. Receptionist said we could try surrounding roads. Did that. And found a space in the second car park I tried. Parking meters were only in Icelandic. So had no idea how to use it. Followed by a long walk with luggage and young kids to find the hotel again. Friendly staff. But don’t advertise parking if you don’t actually have….. parking!!!! Did I mention there isn’t any parking

The staff were beyond helpful during my trip. It’s a solid location, great hotel and though it’s not central to Langavegur Street I found it easy to walk to. And it has the advantage of being off stop 12 which is one of the most common stops for tour companies. It was also convenient to be able to go downstairs for a craft beer.

This hotel is a chain, and there are several of them around the city. This particular location was very clean. The staff was very courteous and the room while small was very well put together. One thing they don’t tell you about Ratković is that the Sulphur smell travels through the hot water system so we had to keep our restroom door closed the entire day I would definitely go back and see the water. The breakfast was beautiful and the bartenders were generous.
