Perfectly located in walking distance of so many places. The staff is wonderful! Gunnar at the front desk is THE BEST, so helpful and full of knowledge. Gave the best recommendations and options of things to do. Looking forward to coming back with the rest of the family.

Location is terrific and Snaps had the best breakfast around, hands down. Our only negative was a sulphorous smell from the bathroom.

I had tge front desk book my bus to the airport and it never showed up. So i was out 60.00 Canadian. I requested a 5am bus and when i looked at it it was booked under flex.

We enjoyed the family room here. The Marshall Bluetooth speaker is an awesome touch!!! The room is spacious, multiple TV’s, and the beds were comfortable. Hard to regulate the temperature but is a great hotel option in a great location!

I genuinely do not understand how this hotel has a four-star rating on Hotels.com. It is completely misleading. The building is old and clearly maintained on a minimal budget. The rooms have no proper ventilation, which leaves them smelling dusty and damp. Everything feels worn out, from the furniture to the paint, and it all comes across as the cheapest possible solutions rather than thoughtful upkeep. The photos online are not representative of what we experienced. Either they are outdated or only show a few select rooms that we never saw. The overall atmosphere is cold and uninviting, with everything painted in dull, dusty grey tones. It also felt cold in the room, with no heating That said, the staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and none of this reflects on them. Our first room was so unpleasant that we had to ask to move, and they handled that quickly and without any issues.

Slightly small room but perfect for what we needed. Great, helpful staff and a wonderful location near all the important attractions. Thank you!

The location is unbeatable—situated on a quiet street just a short walk from Hallgrímskirkja and Rainbow Street, with a grocery store only five minutes away. While the property feels quite dated, the rooms are comfortable. My only mild annoyance was the traditional key system; the hotel requires you to leave your key at the front desk whenever you go out. It’s a bit of a hassle to wait in line just to get into your room at the end of the day, while the staff attended to other guests. If Hotel Odinsve upgraded to a modern key card system, the guest experience would be significantly improved.

We enjoyed our stay!

The room we were given looked nothing like the rooms pictured on the website. Only after we complained were we switched to a room that closer resembled the pictures on the website. They are apparently in the process of remodeling all of the rooms to look like the ones on the website. Some staff were nicer than others, but most seemed indifferent to guests. Location is great and there is a nice restaurant attached to the building as well.

Room was nothing like the photos, felt more like a 3 star hotel, deluxe double was far from deluxe, bathroom was freezing an tiny shower

This hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to everything. It's a short stroll to bus stop #8 (Hallgrimskirkja) where you can be taken to all of the incredible sights Iceland has to offer. My room was well-sized, clean, equipped with a towel warmer which I used to warm up my clothes before a journey into the cold. The staff was kind and helpful. What a perfect place to stay for a trip to Reykjavik!

The staff was very friendly and professional, very helpful with with recommendations and directions. The room was good, and the breakfasts were very tasty and filling. The only problem was the bathroom. It always had a very musty and moldy odor.The bathroom spoiled what would otherwise have been an excellent experience
