Colombina Hotel

There are 2 sections of the hotel. One has ancient, uneven, steep steps and no elevator. They carry your bag to your room. You think you are having a hard time with the stairs because you've been traveling for 15 hours. But the steps are treacherous. The staff, especially the dining and room staff, are friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff is smug, knowledgeable, grudgingly helpful, but they don't always pass requests on to the room staff. If the hotel were even 15% less expensive I wouldn't have been thinking that I'd made the wrong choice.

The Hotel was fine near all sites , It is in a small ally way and it takes a little figuring out to locate but once you know were it is , its easy enough to get to . Rooms are small , No screens on windows , breakfest was good , Plenty of choces and fresh , staff was fine with any questions

The hotel is in a decent area. It’s not too far from anything and the area is relatively quiet. They are doing construction quite close to the hotel at the time of this review (April 2026!

Everything and everyone was amazing! Only complaint, the canal view room, pointless. You can’t see the canal unless ur an nba player or you travel with a step stool. You open window and blocking your view is part of the wall and flowers. Location is perfect and the staff was amazing. Room was clean and spacious!

A magical place to stay in a magical city! Our two nights in the rooftop panoramic suite was a truly special occassion, waking to the bells of St Marks only a block away - close enough to beat the crowds with an early-moring wander before returning for a terrific buffet breakfast at the hotel. The Bridge of Sighs in the morning mist, the sound of seranading gondoleers drifting up from the canal, the beautiful sunset skies with something uniquely Venice, this was the perfect place to feel both in the heart of the city while floating above it all. This hotel has great access to the top attractions but is only a few minutes' walk from quiet squares and alleys. The staff had excellent dining reccomendations that never failed, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly reccommended if you can stretch to the price!

Great location if you want to be close to everything.

Location perfect! Amenities Perfect! Modern classy interiors! Pretty good breakfast buffet! Helpful and courteous staff! Overall a great place to stay. Two things … rooms a little small but that’s thruout Venezia and 2nd do not book taxi to n from station or airport from them as they upcharge like a LOT !! Just call Consorzio Venezia Futura for a taxi.

Overall, very nice stay and room. We stayed in the junior suite, with canal view for a few days. Pros: The staff were very nice and friendly. I had emailed them before coming and they remember and addressed my questions. They walked us straight to our room and we received a free welcome drink which was a really nice touch! The room is very grand - felt like we were in Bridgerton. Very fancy! The bed was comfortable, clean and the set up of the washroom was great. The amenities like the water provided, complimentary cookies, coffee and the shampoo/bath gel, hairdryer were all very appreciated. The staff was very helpful too! We were provided a map and high level of what attractions and restaurants were nearby. Housekeeping also ensured the room was kept nice and clean. Location was fabulous - 5 mins from major attractions Cons: The canal view unfortunately was blocked by the railing and the mosquito screen was broken. A ton of mosquitos came in overnight and we each received 20-30 bites each, which is not the hotels fault. We called them for help and it took them really long to come. They also did not spray the room or install the insect machine like they said until we called a second time later. We had asked for them to take a look at the blood stains on the walls from when we killed the mosquitoes and clean it. It wasn’t done but the staff when they did come were nice and friendly, and helpful. The tv also was not digital or smart, and there was no tea available in room.

The staff truly made our trip better with guidance on local authentic restaurants, to suggestions of a daily private boat tour of Venice that runs daily directly from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a range of gluten free options and the room was clean and had a wonderful view of the canal-albeit slightly obscured by the construction and scaffolding of the building opposite.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the property was clean. There were some issues with the sink and shower drain, but overall a pleasant stay.

Great location with short walks to all the great restaurants, shopping, Piazza San Marco, Saint Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, & the docks. But also with just the right amount of distance that we weren’t bothered by excess noise from all the people wandering the alleys. Staff was wonderful. Allow them to arrange your water taxi rides to/from the airport or train station so you are dropped off or picked up right from their lobby (fair pricing too!). Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is an odd odor that makes everything feel musty & the stairs leading to our floor that were quite the trip hazard. Rooms are opulent & comfortable overall.
