We love the lake view from our room. There is a shared dining area equipped with microwave and free flow of hot beverages. The room is spacious and the toilet is big. There is a jacuzzi inside the toilet and facing Lake Toya. Nice hotel to rest and relax. Free parking too. We enjoy our stay.

We had a wonderful room at Hotel Cocoa - it was really spacious and had an incredible view overlooking Lake Toya. Although the hotel was having some renovation work done, this didn't affect us in any way and the stay was peaceful and quiet. It was fantastic to wake up and be able to see the whole of the lake - it was an instant weather forecast! There was a jacuzzi bath in the room too which was lovely after a day sightseeing. There is not a daily cleaning service but you do get clean towels every day and can ask for anything else that you need. Parking was right outside the hotel entrance. The location is fantastic but you do need a car to really benefit from staying here as it is a ten minute drive into town.

I need to get the taxi to get to the hotel. There is no free shuttle on weekends. And if you need a free shuttle to drop you at the train station after checkout , you need to book it in advance.

This is a beautiful property with lake Toya on one side and Yoteii mountain on the other. The rooms are the largest we have seen in Japan with a beautiful sitting area and large bathroom with a huge tub both overlooking Lake Toya! This made for excellent firework viewing from the room for the local festival. They also had a nice common area in the hotel with some tables, coffee, tea and hot water to use. The location was convenient to drive to Toyaka Onsen town for food, but also to Rusutsu for skiing.

But room is spacious, smells nice and great room facilities like bath tub, bath robe , usb outlet. Food vending machine is located outside the building. Reception sells cup noodles. Room is beautiful with magnificent view. However, Reception staff is not helpful or even welcoming. Requested him to switch on the air conditioning in the lounge when we wanted to eat our dinner there with friends staying in different rooms. He agreed but did not appear at all. No smile or greeting when met him at the Reception the next morning. The cleaning staff was much more courteous and cheerful. It’s a shame for such a beautiful hotel to have such a bad service staff.
