Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura

Our entire experience was excellent!

I’ve traveled to places all over this globe and have stayed at some of the nicest hotels you can find. This hotel isn’t over the top fancy but for whatever reason I find it to be my absolute favorite I’ve ever come across. Big props to the staff who always make me feel at home.

Conveniently located by the train station, close to Komachi St (shops and restaurants), with a very pleasant lobby fragrance greeting you as you walk in… excellent stay all around.

Beautiful hotel, rooms on the smaller side but more than a hour standard Japanese hotel. Clean and a quick 5 min walk to the train station. They provide some wonderful skin care products and it wa very much appreciated

We have stayed here a few times while visiting family. It is without a doubt the cleanest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. It’s also in a very convenient location, being in downtown Kamakura. The restaurant on site is good, with a very good breakfast buffet. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is relatively expensive, especially on weekends when the room rates can sometimes be twice or more what you’d pay for a weeknight stay.

Great hotel, brand new or newly renovated. The location is fantastic. It is close to everything, the shore, the great buddha, the shrine, homachi street, enoshima island. I would definitely stay again. Kamakura is a lovely town.

Excellent modern hotel, with large rooms, very near to the train station and main shopping & dining streets. Easy access from the hotel to the main tourist sites in and around Kamakura.

I loved the well-designed hotel room with panels if you want to divide space and the location is fabulous since you can visit any temples and shrines with easy access. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

It’s also conveniently close to the train station, making travel easy. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, providing top-notch service throughout my stay. They offered excellent recommendations for local dining and sightseeing, making my visit even more enjoyable. Overall, the Metropolitan Kamakura Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're visiting Kamakura for its rich history, serene temples, or scenic coastal views, this hotel is a fantastic place to stay. I highly recommend it!
