Love the Hotel, comfortable, clean stylish and great view!

Amazing hotel!!

This is a chic and luxurious hotel. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Quiet aircon. Responsive staff. Wide ranging high quality breakfast. I’m marking down because of the lack of a laundry - which seems to be typical for Mercure Hotels. I wish they would fix that and then I’d have no hesitation in marking them as excellent, and returning.

Well located reasonably priced hotel, only small complaint was that the air conditioning was a little weak

Not your typical Japan micro hotel rooms, they were spacious similar to American hotels. Distance from Kyoto train station a little farther than expected….a full 10 min walk for sure…not easy with luggage.

The property is located near the train station and very convenient to shops. Loved the convenience of the downstairs bar. The staff was wonderful!

The location was great for transport, restaurants and bars.

Far from tourist spots

Overall, stay was alright but this hotel was a bit chaotic. It catered to a number of tour groups, which was fine and understandable, but they would all congregate in the communal area and were loud. I went to the lounge in the evening for work and there were people loudly talking on the phone, children running around and the staff didn’t do anything to ask people to be mindful of others. The selection at breakfast was good and quality was okay, but food often ran out. There were a number of times over our stay that the cutlery and bowls ran out and it took a while for them to be restocked.

They allowed me to check in early with my toddler and they were super friendly and helpful despite being so early in the morning. But I noticed they offer to store luggage at the front if necessary. The double bed room I got is quite small and tight. The A/C wouldn't go down either so the room stayed warm despite being in May.

Great hotel in a quiet area but not at Kyoto Station. 15 min walk from the train station.

Great place to stay, very convenient

Upon checking in, we were given room cards to rooms that were already occupied. We found a family in the room watching TV - the family was as alarmed as we were. No sincere apology was offered when this mistake was pointed out. Instead, the reception person tried to upsell the restaurant breakfast package. Note that the restaurantvin the hotel offers overpriced Italian food. The 2 rooms that we eventually got were somewhat unclean with stains on the sheets and small litter lying around. We had booked rooms that could sleep atcleast 3 people but were given rooms for 2 people. Note that the 3-person rooms are limited in number. This hotel is close to Kyoto Station and is hence extremely popular with tourists. There is not much close by besides the station. There are better neighborhoods to stay in Kyoto if you are interested in shopping and culture. Needless to say, we will never be going back to this hotel again.

Hotel staff lovely and very helpful, lots of restaurants and food hall a 10 minute walk, we did the hop on hop off bus which was great, Hotel ten minute walk from station

Bathroom and room was big for Japan and the staff at the front desk were very very helpful.

The property feels new. The beds are extremely comfortable. The shower and restroom amazing, very clean. Staff is super attentive to your needs. I would definitely stay here again.
