Check-in time is long at 3 noon, new admission, location close to the train and downtown such as Shibuya and Shinjuku, breakfast is only bread and jam, the room is cramped, the bathroom has a bathtub but it is narrow.

This hotel is absolutely delightful! Location wise you are one street away from the train, and the surrounding area has supermarket, convenience stores and eateries. From the moment you enter the staff greet you with lovely smiles. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have all you need (yes small but we are in Japan) and the breakfast is plentiful with toast, drinks and miso. The cafe is delicious! (we ate there three times during our stay and every dish was so good) I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough; it’s perfect!

I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveller and it was great. It was about an hour long train journey from Haneda airport. A 2 minute walk to Hatagaya station and overall a convenient location for transit (~15 mins to Shinjuku Staion). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast consisted of toast, soup, coffee, and orange juice. But there were other options nearby (local cafe and a McDonald's 2 mins away). I would definitely recommend to others.

Staff were rude on arrival. I tried to check-in twice. First time, I kept getting interrupted by other guests trying to get their luggage and the staff kept catering towards them instead of asking them to wait their turn. I was then asked to step aside and the staff proceeded to finish with a guest that interrupted. The staff then forgot I was there and helped a guest that was behind me. When it was finally my turn, he was about to help another person who was behind me (after being asked by someone who appeared to be a tour staff) but the person behind me said to help me first. During check-in, he didn’t explain anything to me and just handed me the hotel information card. That’s not all. They only had one elevator that barely fit 2 ppl with 2 luggage. The hallway was dark. The room had a weird smell. The room was so small, you couldn’t open the fridge door completely. The AC was loud and dusty. The bed was stiff, and squeaky. I felt so uncomfortable, I left and booked elsewhere. If you choose to stay here, be wary.

The room we booked had mystery stains all over the walls and curtains. Smelled horribly of mildew and the AC vent was so dusty. Room size and bed were on the smaller size even for Tokyo. The only redeeming quality was how close it was to the station.

Great place if you don’t need to be right in the heart of Shibuya. It is in a lovely area and it is close enough for us. The room was great because we got four futons so my kids and I could all fit. Each with our own bed. It was nothing fancy and doesn’t have all the amenities that most Japanese hotels have but the staff were amazing and very helpful. And like I said, it was a really lovely neighborhood. If I was going to live near Shibuya, this would probably be where I would stay. It was a bit under the way for all of the action, but it was quiet so that was good. I would definitely stay there again.

Sakura Hotel is conveniently located near the train station and surrounded by small restaurants, which makes getting around and finding meals easy. Family Mart is just in the corner. The hotel has small rooms but includes amenities like a laundry area and café. However, it felt quite expensive compared to the previous hotel we stayed at, which included a buffet breakfast for less. The hotel building itself isn’t very appealing, and it takes two train rides to reach Shibuya. Overall, good for location, but not the best value or aesthetics
