Message from Hotel: i. Effective from June 1, 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4 and 5-star hotels, and MYR 2 per room per night for 0 to 3-star hotels. The star rating will be in accordance to the rating from Local Council and should the rating differ from the website, the local council rating will apply. This fee is being included in Hotel's Room Rate. ii. With effect from 01 September 2017, with reference to the Law of Malaysia Act 791, Tourism Act 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Resident of Malaysia, are committed to a Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 nett per room night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which is not included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check in. This is to be applied in-addition to existing fees/taxes levied and the existing local tourism fee in Penang. iii. You may be required to present valid government-issued identification at check-in, along with credit card / cash to cover the incidentals and deposits. iv. All special request such as Non-Smoking Room, Smoking Room, Early Check-In, Late Check-Out, Higher Floor and etc are not guaranteed and strongly subject to hotel’s availability. Additional charges may apply. vi. Hotel may charge you additional fee for each extra person after reserves room’s maximum occupancy. Any availability of extra bed or baby crib is subject to hotel availability. vi. Additional fee such as extra bed, food and beverage, telephone, room service, airport transfer, laundry service etc is handled directly between guest and hotel. vii. I hv been a regular for a few years. breakfast used to be served at the oo restaurant next door where the food served is much better than the Indian restaurant, both in terms of quality, quantity & service. The breakfast served at the Indian restaurant is so terrible, a roti & a cup of coffee or tea worth roughly rm5. The food & service is horrible. if the hotel continues to provide breakfast in the Indian restaurant, Suggest hotel to take away the breakfast & reduce the room pricing accordingly without providing breakfast in order not to tarnish the hotel reputation. room cleanliness has deteriorated as we found a cockroach in the room. bathroom drainage is bad as it is flooded after each shower, water is also leaking from the sink bathroom.

The soundproofing is bad, the hotel is a little bit old, the bedroom door is a bit difficult to open, the AC is not too cold. The location is great and depends on what you are looking to do, near oo cafe and Hope Children Hospital.

The receptionist was very rude to customers. His attitude is very negative. I am very disappointed with the service of this 1st staff. Initial check in was at 2, I arrived at 2.30. Tell me to wait until 2.45. It turned out the room wasn't ready yet. Until the room was given a 1 bed room. Even though I ordered twin beds. I demand my right to get twin beds according to my order. But he was adamant and didn't give it. He said everything was empty. Even though I asked the helper above. He said there were still many empty rooms that were ready. The great thing is that this receptionist can do whatever she wants with customers. He said he had worked here for 15 years. So he is in charge. The manager didn't even dare to tell him. Because he was the only one who wanted to work there. So his attitude towards customers is as flattering as he is. His attitude towards customers is very, very rude. That's why customers are screaming. Hopefully the hotel owner can process the staff further. And he told his story to his bald friend using regional language. I don't understand his language. But I knew he was talking about me. It is not recommended to employ such employees. Whatever the story. There are no staff who are brave enough to scream at customers. Very, very rude! When you want to check out in the morning. I've walked out. But still looking for the problem with me. Catch up on a video call with the manager. And he said he had worked for 15 years. The manager didn't even agree with him. Even the manager can't control him. This staff 1 is not right anymore. Brni looking for it because of the customer. There have been many complaints that this hotel is bad because it employs staff like that. Kindly request the hotel owner, hire friendly staff. Don't be so impudent!

Hi, the hotel location was OK. It is very near to Waterfall temple (Tanirmalai Temple). However, the traffic congestion towards the hotel is bad. The hotel staff was good, the receptionist helped and assisted us well. The room condition at worst. The furniture is so old. The picture advertised were very deceiving and I think it was the picture took long back and not latest. The room was smelly and the air-conditioning also very old and the remote was not working. TV screen is damaged and the channels were not clear not useful at all. The telephone in the room was like 20 years back and dirty. The worst part is the bathroom, not cleaned. The shampoo provided were not good. Water water heater was not working. We have to bath in cold water. I have complaint to the hotel receptionist, he offered me to change to a smaller room. The bed is at bad condition. Can't sleep well because of bed bugs, and the pillows were so hard, gave my whole family a neck pain. Overall experience is worst. Will never come to this hotel anymore and will never recommend to anybody. The parking is good. If you are planning to stay with family, this is not the hotel for you!

Worth the money. Me and my family had a pleasant stay . Rooms are clean and comfy and the room rates are very cheap. We got more for what we paid. Only things I wish is they have room service.

i'm booking the 2 queen bed room for 4 persons...the room is really big and very comfortable...toilet also very big...staff are friendly...parking space is available but limited...near Taman Botani...quite far from restaurant...but overall was awesome !
