Hotel San Carlos Plaza

Avía rentado un cuarto “Luxuary” con balcón y en cuanto llegue me dieron un cuartó básico cualquiera. Les desmonté el que avía rentado y le echaron la culpa al Expedia que era equivocación de la compañía. Y luego la manejadora me quiera cobrar extra por el cuarto que ya avía pagado y que cambiaron la pajina en frente de mi para que no me hacían el válido el reclamo. Tome captura de pantalla y ayun así no me lo hicieron válido. El aire acondicionado del cuarto no sirva para nada. Fui a recepción si lo podían arreglar y no me ayudaron. Me quedé encerrada en el elevador porque no funcionaba y peor del caso no tenía aire. el hotel estaba sucio y oía feo! El buffet ni se diga caro y malo..Persimo servicio.

PÉSIMO servicio por parte del personal del hotel desde los recepcionistas hasta la gerente, teniendo mi habitación pagada abandone el hotel y me fui a otro, no lo recomiendo en lo absoluto

Great family hotel. Right on the beach, 3 pools, water slides, and a carousel in the lobby!

Las playas no estaban limpias

Water was shut off the whole night due to a plumbing problem. Since 8pm the day we checked and the 8am the day we checkout , there was no water in bathroom , no water for toilet , no water for brushing and all basic things in the morning . We just came back from pool and trying to bath but there was no water and we all had to go to bed without taking bath with the chlorine smell on the body. Kids were completely terrified without water the whole night as there was no drop of water in bathroom. Whenever we ask the reception they were kept on saying 1 hr , 10 mins water will be back but it came only the next day morning 8am. We asked for compensation atleast during the checkout , they said they can’t do that . They promised to give a 50% reduction in next stay but that email has not come until now. It was totally horrible experience and I would NOT recommend to anybody. This hotel is overrated .

Do not belive the 4 star review on this hotel.....I give this honestly a 1 star and the star is only because the AC was working. There's too much to say that was horrible about this hotel but I'll give a few that people might care about. The rooms are so old looking, the bathtub is way higher than the floor you stand on, so be careful with that! And the wifi password changes almost daily and it's very spotty. Not to mention WHEN YOU SHOWER, the water is so weak and so little, that you take a while to really shower and get clean.....horrible choice. Overall, I wouldn't go back....

Rooms are starting to show age. A/C unit thermostat not working properly. In my opinion the room level I rented should have small fridge and maybe a microwave oven.

Good place to spend time with family.

Our very first time experiencing San Carlos plaza was seven years ago, and our stay was phenomenal. The room we were assigned was tip top condition, from the entrance of the hotel to the room was great. This time, our overall experience was nothing compared to the first time we visited San Carlos Plaza. In the 7 years, unfortunately San Carlos Plaza has deteriorated, from the entrance of the hotel having no AC to the rooms being outdated and not updated as you would expect from a big resort brand. Unfortunately for us, the door did not completely shut and was badly damaged, the primary door lock did not work, our sink was cracked, the caulking inside the bathroom near tub and toilet looked poorly done. The drainage on both bathtub and sink would get extremely clogged. Multiple outlets (not working) the light switches did not work, the lighting was poor, the light shade DISGUSTING! The bedding (white sheets) had multiple yellowing stains, furniture super outdated, on one occasion, I requested a broom to sweep up the sand the kids were bringing up, and when we got our room service, the lady did not pick up the dirt that I had piled up near the side of the wall. Our overall experience, our stay was not the greatest, but the staff are all very kind, polite and professional! Unfortunately for us, we would opt out of staying in San Carlos Plaza in the future.

Old hotel air no good no maintenance

Great location onto the beach. Clean all around. Helpful staff. Rooms could use a little update with lighting. Would’ve liked pools to be open later on weekends.

En realidad no recomiendo este resort, cabe destacar que para ser un resort esperaba más de ello y fue todo lo contrario..

Muy viejo muy mal cuido parte del closet con óxido el baño parte del piso sucio las albercas el agua muy sucia muy mal olor el cuarto muy mala experiencia

I have stayed here off and on for the last 20 years and I can honestly say that nothing has been done to this place. Rooms are in sad shape and need work.

I really like the stay. I loved the food and restaurant. The service of the waiter Cosme is excellent! The only thing I would like to say that I did not like is that the schedule of the pool is from 9am- 9pm which is late in the morning, so the day you are departing you cannot use it. Also they have a different schedule posted by the rooms 8am-10pm. So it was confusing.

Very clean. Lots of delicious food and restaurants. Friendly staff. Lots of activities. Everything you need onsite
