Rommet var særdeles møkkete, hår i sengen, flekkete sengeteppe, møkkete under sengen, kjønns hår på badet og møkkete gulv. Terrasse var så møkkete at den var ubrukelig. Tok bilder å gikk i resepsjonen for å vise dem, ble da møtt med lite forståelse men fikk beskjed om at noen skulle komme å vaske.. Burde fått nytt rom uten spørsmål, vil nok ikke tilbake hit eller anbefale dette til mine forbindelser.

Beautiful large property and grounds. Definitely surprised to find out that it’s only accessible by ferry! No cars on the island. A beautiful shuttle drive from the ferry landing to the hotel. There is no peaceful view of the water from the hotel, as pictured. In it’s prime it was quite the destination.

The tom was ok. Below normal hotel standard. The “spa” area had som sort of bug or flea, so we had to leave the pool. Our room was on the second floor, and the people on the first floor were smoking at the smell came straight into our room. Also we could hear absolutely everything they said. We ordered one beer and one chocolate. By chech out the bill was on 200 kr. A ridiculous amount for a drink and piece of chocolate. Also there were extra costs on the ferry and for parking by the ferry. The parking cost is a lot more expensive than what the hotel says on their website. Norway is beautiful, and the cost is beautiful. I would recommend staying somewhere else than hankø.

The place was nice overall but future guests need to be informed a few key items. The boat shuttle needed to get to the island charges for each trip taken, the parking next to the dock costs, we were told there was laundry services but they had none and the mattresses on the beds were very thin and a bit uncomfortable.

The biggest question is: what exactly are guests paying for? Almost everything costs extra after arrival. The beds, in our experience, smelled of urine and felt decades old, with a mattress topper barely one centimetre thick. There was visible water damage in the bathroom ceiling, the smell of cigarette smoke lingered throughout parts of the hotel, and the spa was run down and largely unmanned. This property is, in my opinion, so neglected that it is difficult to understand how it is still marketed as a spa and resort. Charging premium prices creates premium expectations, and those expectations were nowhere near met. The location is absolutely beautiful and the potential is enormous. With proper investment, care and competent management, this could become a fantastic destination. Instead, it feels like a property that has been allowed to deteriorate for years while still being marketed as an exclusive experience. Hotels.com offered us NOK 330 in compensation for a stay costing around NOK 3,000. That alone says something about how poor the experience was. A substantial refund would have been a far more reasonable outcome. What surprised me most was that Classic Norway Hotels has chosen to associate its brand with this property.When a hotel chain promotes a hotel under its name,it also shares responsibility for the expectations it creates. In our case, those expectations were simply not met. 1500 letters is not anywhere close to describe this catastrophicly run down place!

Vi bodde på hotellet i 3 døgn, uten at noen var på rommet for å skifte håndduker, re opp senger eller tømme avfallsbøtte. Dette har vi aldri opplevd før noen steder, og vi har reist mye. Måtte hente dopapir og nye håndduker selv i resepsjonen.

Vi bodde her for bare en natt og det var vi glade for. Dette hotellet har for lengst passert sin renessanse. Føltes at rommene var fra 80 tallet - trangt og med dårlige fasiliteter. Badet var gammelt og trangt. Sengen var gammel, dynene og putene var gamle og ikke blitt luftet på lenge. Putene luktet gammel svette og fuktighet. Lenge siden de var byttet. Svømmebasseng og spa fasilitetene bærer også preg av slitasje, garderobene var heller dårlig rengjort. Det eneste lyspunktet var middagen på kvelden. Den var god med hyggelig betjening. Beklager, men dette frister ikke til gjentagelse.

1. Du får parkera bilen för 125 NOK. 2. Sedan ta en båt ut för 70 NOK per väg. 3. Bilderna i annonser tillhör inte hotellet. 4. Vill du byta handduk efter att ha badat i inomhuspolen kostar det 50 NOK. 5. Restaurangen har en fixt meny, - oätligt. Blää. 6. Personalen verkar pressade av ägaren, nästan rädda, ser gråtfärdiga ut. 7. Stället har undermåligt underhåll och borde stängt för länge sedan. 8. Frukosten var undermålig, jag och min partner blev illamående efteråt. Gurkan var torr samt all annan frukt och grönt. Äggröran hade dom blandat cement i. 9. Ett avstängt element som surrar hela natten i rummet, hur kan de ens ske? 10. Ingen ventilation i rummet och en fuktigt doft. Jag brukar inte skriva recensioner, men varning för detta hotel det är en blåsning. 1770 NOK för en natt blir med parkering och båt och oätlig mat lätt många tusen kronor, åk inte hit. LÅT DET SJÄLVDÖ, så kan Hankö kanske återuppliva sin charm, då det är en väldigt fin ö. Värdelöst även i norska mått mätt!!!…

Rommet hadde klissete gulv, manglet nattbord (det ble satt inn etter forespørsel) Meget dårlig belysning. Helt umulig å lese. Det var tomt for såpe på badet, da vi spurte etter mer ble det satt i utvannet såpe/såpevann. En unggutt som gjorde så godt han kunne i resepsjonen og den eneste andre voksne forsto ikke norsk, Elendig stråle i dusjen, helt umulig om man ville vaske håret. Det var bryllup på hotellet og felles terrassen var booket. Det var stoler/bord i lysthuset i hagen, men de manglet puter og var fulle av illeluktende mugg. Frokosten var begredelig, dårlig utvalg og utplukket, smakløst f.eks. speilegg for lite stekt/slimete og stekte tomater helt uten smak. Beklager men dette oppholdet var virkelig ikke verdt pengene. Og i tillegg 300 kroner for båten. Vi kommer ikke tilbake.

Vær forberedt på at det er nesten 600 m å gå fra brygga der båten kommer inn og til hotellet. Vi var ikke klar over det og hadde tung bagasje å bære. Rommet var helt ok, men hadde kun håndsåpe på badet, ingen dusjsåpe eller shampo. Maten i restauranten var kjempegod, vi hadde en treretters og fikk god hjelp av restaurantsjefen da vi først ble avvist av servitørene som sa det var fullt. På spaet vi besøkte på morgen var det ikke tømt boss eller fyllt på toalettpapir, og det var ikke tilgjengelig håndkler, så vi måtte ta med de vi hadde på rommet. Frokosten var enkel men god. Foruten disse tingene var servicen på topp hos de fleste som jobbet der, og vi fikk skyss tilbake til båten når vi skulle dra.
