Great breakfast, right next to a shopping mall around 10 minutes from the city centre but very close to the airport.

Not worth the price. You can get a much better experience elsewhere at these rates. -deceptively far from town. It takes at least 15 minutes to get a cab. -key selling point was supposed to be the view from the bar/lobby rooftop. But the glass style and excessive internal lighting interfere a lot with the view. You basically see the reflection of the inside of the lobby. Even lowering the lights a bit would have helped us enjoy the view but as it was we had to go outside to really see the new years fireworks. -Staff was not friendly or solicitous. None of the staff seemed happy to be there. I asked for a different pillow and an extra towel and was asked why I needed one and then told they’d try to exchange my pillow. -room has no amenities, not even a minibar or snacks. -they neglect the little things. For example, they could have put up a sign advising that the bar would be closed from 11:40pm-12:15am for new years, so guests could order early or BYOB. Such a simple thing. Instead they said nothing and had a guy stand at the bar, then turn away several guests who wanted to get drinks for the new years toast. Most of those guests had just been at the lounge and could easily have ordered earlier had they known the bar would close. And service is very slow and careless. E.g., They poured wine by flipping the bottle upside down and filling the cup with dregs.

Clean. Friendly staff. Right next to airport. Easy to transport sround with access to bus stops nearby and a taxi call button in reception.

The lobby in this hotel is very cool, nice ambiance, gorgeous views! Don't expect it to be on the ground floor, in fact is high in the building, perfect place with for a wrap around glass windows with beautiful views of the mountains and city. There's even an outside terrace balcony in the lobby where you can take gorgeous photos of mountains and colorful skies! Breakfast was good, lots of choices and included in the price. Clean place, nice staff. The room is very small, but new, very clean and modern. Bathroom clean and new. Overall, a great deal for the price!

Great location close to the airport and overlooking the fjord. Hotel had a great 11th floor check-in and bar with stunning views. Hotel is clean and well managed and rooms are cleaned daily.

This was the first hotel I visited where the reception was located on the top floor, shared with the bar, restaurant, breakfast area, recreation area (pool table, chess, foosball table, large TV), and a work area. Floor-to-ceiling windows lined most of the level, offering guests stunning views of the surrounding mountains and water. Whoever came up with this design was a genius. The Moxy staff undoubtedly had one of the best workplaces on the island. Speaking of staff, I found them all to be friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Perfect for our four-night stay. Breakfast had everything we needed for a pleasant start to the day. There were abundant parking spaces available, but a word of caution for those with rental cars: the company managing the parking lot bills the rental car company, and they add their administrative markup fees to the final bill when you return the rental. To avoid all the ridiculous fees, we ended up parking in a small, unmarked gravel parking lot across the street from the hotel. We didn’t see any signs prohibiting the use of the lot. During our two-week trip we stayed in seven hotels. Moxy is tied for first with the hotel in Tallinn, Estonia.

One staff was multi tasking check in, bar tending and overwhelmed. When I mentioned he could use some help he said he was fine making customers wait.

Our stay completely exceeded my expectations. The location couldn’t be more convenient—it’s literally a two-minute drive from the airport, which makes arriving and departing stress-free. Once you’re inside, though, you’d never guess you were that close to the runway because the hotel opens up to stunning ocean and fjord views that feel straight out of a postcard. The whole place has this cool, contemporary design with a unique, funky vibe that makes it stand out from more traditional hotels. The murals and creative touches throughout the space give it tons of personality, and the social/breakfast sitting areas are just perfect for hanging out or just enjoying a drink with a view. A lovely surprise was a great selection of fun board games - really enjoyed them on rainier evenings. I also have to give a special shoutout to the Moxy Burger—it was hands down the best burger I’ve ever tried. The room was spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Everything felt fresh and modern, but still cozy enough that you could really settle in. Between the vibe, the artwork and the unbeatable location Moxy Tromsø is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re on a little adventure even when you’re just sitting in the lobby. I’d happily stay here again.

Great hotel, perfect location next to the airport. Will definitely stay there again in our next trip to Tromso.

Welcoming staff. Very convenient location to airport and downtown. We could walk from airport after dropping off rental car. In same parking lot as grocery store. Taxis available for quick ride to downtown. Welcome drink was nice. View was awesome. Breakfast was great with lots of options and delicious coffee. Only downside was lack of towels in bathroom and you had to pay for parking at the hotel.
