More about hotels in Basak
Basak, Cebu City
Basak (Basak Pardo) is a fast-growing waterfront district in Cebu City, on Cebu's South Road Properties (SRP) reclamation area — not to be confused with the similarly named barangay near Mactan-Cebu International Airport on Mactan Island. This Basak is home to some of Cebu's newest entertainment developments, and is connected to Mactan Island directly by the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) toll bridge.
What Basak is known for
Basak/SRP is anchored by SM Seaside City Cebu — the second-largest mall in Cebu, with an observation tower and marine-themed attractions — and by NUSTAR Resort & Casino, an integrated resort with its own hotels, dining and entertainment. IL Corso, a newer open-air lifestyle mall, and the Cebu South Coastal Road waterfront round out the area's appeal.
Getting there
Thanks to the CCLEX bridge, Basak is roughly 20-30 minutes by car or Grab from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, and about 15-20 minutes from Cebu City's older uptown core. There's no direct flight from Australia to Cebu; connect via Manila or another Asian hub.
