Station 1, Boracay Island
Station 1 is the quieter, more upscale northern end of Boracay's White Beach, in Balabag on Boracay Island. It has a wider stretch of sand than Station 2 further south, calmer water (motorised water sports are kept off this stretch), and is where most of the island's 5-star resorts cluster — a better fit for couples and travellers prioritising a resort stay over nightlife.
What Station 1 is known for
Station 1's beach is generally considered Boracay's best for swimming and sunset-watching, since the sand is broader and the water free of motorised craft. It sits close to Diniwid Beach and Willy's Rock, a small rock formation with a shrine that's one of the island's most photographed landmarks, plus Boracay's Grotto nearby.
Getting there
Same route as the rest of Boracay: fly into Caticlan or Kalibo (connecting via Manila, Cebu or another Asian hub from Australia — there's no direct flight), cross by boat to Boracay's jetty, then tricycle to Station 1. It's a walkable 15-20 minutes along the beach to Station 2's restaurants and D'Mall for more dining variety.
