The place is very cozy. It is like a home away from home. Staff are very friendly. Definitely will be back here. I love the fact that there is a living room and kitchen in our room. There is ample of drying clothes line that we could hang our soaked clothes for easy drying. Rooms were also kept clean, and water and bath supplies are replenished every day without the need to request.

The Tides Hotel made our Boracay experience awesome! The staff were very nice and greeted us everytime we pass by the lobby! The room was clean and big enough for two. The temperature of the water in the pool is just right!! Loved it! Best part was they gave us 2 cocktail drinks for free! I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back.

Station 2, Boracay Island

Station 2 is the busiest, most central stretch of Boracay's famous White Beach, in the barangay of Balabag on Boracay Island, Aklan. If you want to be within walking distance of everything — beachfront restaurants, dive shops, water-sports operators and the buzzing D'Mall — this is the classic first-timer's base on the island, more central than the quieter Station 1 to the north or the more budget-oriented Station 3 to the south.

What Station 2 is known for

Station 2 fronts the widest, most photographed section of White Beach, right by D'Mall — Boracay's main shopping and dining strip. It's the hub for beach parties, fire-dancing shows, and rows of water-sports operators offering parasailing, banana boats and stand-up paddleboarding. D'Talipapa, the local wet market where you can pick fresh seafood and have it cooked to order nearby, is a short walk inland.

Getting there

Fly into Caticlan (Godofredo P. Ramos Airport) — the closer option — or Kalibo International Airport, then take a short boat crossing to Boracay's Cagban or Tambisaan jetty, followed by a tricycle or e-trike ride to Station 2. There's no direct flight from Australia; connect via Manila, Cebu or another Asian hub. Once on the island, Station 2 is walkable to Station 1 and Station 3, and e-trikes cover longer hops.

Where to stay in Station 2

Henann Palm Beach Resort — beachfront, beach-club energy right on the sand, with a pool bar and rooftop pool a short stroll from D'Mall.

Henann Park Resort — a garden-set property a little further back from the beachfront bustle, good for travellers who want Station 2's convenience without being right on the main strip.

Coast Boracay — a modern boutique-style stay geared to travellers who want design-led rooms alongside easy beach access.

Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa and Azalea Hotels & Residences Boracay round out the options, both a short walk from the water-sports stretch and D'Mall's restaurants.

What's nearby

Puka Shell Beach is a short tricycle ride north for a quieter beach day; Ariel's Point (cliff diving, boat trips) and island-hopping tours taking in Crystal Cove and Crocodile Island typically depart from jetties a short ride from Station 2.

Do Australians need a visa for the Philippines?

No. Australian passport holders can enter the Philippines visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, provided your passport is valid at least 6 months beyond your stay and you can show a return or onward ticket. The stay can be extended at a local Bureau of Immigration office if you want to stay longer.

How do you get to Station 2 from Australia?

There's no direct flight from Australia to Boracay. Connect through Manila, Cebu or another Asian hub to Caticlan or Kalibo, then take the short boat crossing to Boracay's jetty and a tricycle to Station 2.
