Location: Perfect. Because it's near Burnham Park, Good Taste restaurant, Foam Coffee, Harrison Street, Baguio Night Market, Session Road, Vizco's, Baguio Cathedral, sm baguio. Also, beside it, is a grocery store.💯. Food: Perfect. Because you can get as much as what you can consume. They served garlic rice, steamed rice, scrambled eggs, dried fish, hotdogs, pork steak, breads and jams, coffee, juice, salad and fruits.💯. Room: Good. Because I'm not sure if other parts of the room is clean. But definitely the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. The AC unit was loud from time to time. And, there's no room slippers provided. Also, they need to change their old towels, and their busted lights as well. Good thing their bed linens and comforters are clean. Staffs: Perfect. (Even if my request was not followed.) Front desk ladies were kind and accommodating. Every staff we see greets us politely.💯. Thank you, Hotel Veniz Burnham!

More about hotels in Baguio

About Baguio accommodation

Baguio is the Philippines' favourite mountain escape, tucked up in the Cordillera highlands of Luzon where the air stays cool and crisp all year round. Known as the City of Pines, it's the spot Filipinos head to when they want a break from the tropical heat, and it makes just as much sense for Aussie travellers keen on pine-lined streets, a relaxed pace and genuinely fresh mountain air. Staying here means easy access to Session Road's buzzing food scene, Burnham Park's laid-back lake, and day trips out to the strawberry farms just up the road in La Trinidad.

Where should you stay in Baguio?

Session Road and the city centre put you right in the middle of the action, an easy walk to restaurants, shops and Burnham Park. The Camp John Hay area is a quieter, leafier alternative, popular for its pine forest surrounds and golf course. Staying near Burnham Park itself is a solid middle ground, close to the boating lake and an easy stroll to Session Road.

How much is Baguio accommodation?

Budget rooms in Baguio start from around AU$20 to AU$45 a night, covering clean guesthouses and simple hotels close to the centre. Mid-range hotels with more comfort and better facilities generally run AU$50 to AU$110 a night. For something more upscale, resort-style stays around Camp John Hay or larger hotel brands can range from AU$120 to AU$250 a night, with prices climbing during peak weekends and festival season.

What is Baguio known for?

  • Boating on the small lake at Burnham Park, a classic Baguio activity for visitors of all ages
  • Session Road's night market and lively food scene, from local snacks to sit-down dinners
  • The view from Mines View Park, one of the city's best-known lookout points
  • Strawberry picking and fresh produce at the farms in nearby La Trinidad
  • The cool mountain climate itself, a rare treat in the tropical Philippines

What are the best hotels in Baguio?

  • The Manor at Camp John Hay, a comfortable base set among pine trees within the Camp John Hay estate
  • Baguio Country Club, a long-standing hotel with golf course views and classic charm
  • Azalea Hotels and Residences Baguio, modern rooms with easy access to the city centre
  • Le Monet Hotel Baguio, a boutique-style stay close to Camp John Hay
  • Hotel Elizabeth Baguio, a reliable mid-range option near Session Road
  • Microtel by Wyndham Baguio, a solid choice for straightforward, comfortable stays

Tips for booking a stay in Baguio?

  • Weekends can get busy with day trippers from Manila, so book ahead if you're travelling Friday to Sunday
  • Pack layers, evenings and early mornings can get genuinely chilly for a tropical country
  • Festival periods such as Panagbenga in February see rooms fill up fast, so plan well in advance
  • Staying central near Session Road cuts down on transport if you don't have a car
  • Check whether your hotel offers parking if you're driving up, as street parking in the centre can be limited
