Mercure Katowice Centrum

This is a great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance from the main attractions and neighbourhoods. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The hotel restaurant/bar is very comfortable. The hotel was for us a modern home for a few days. Katowice was a surprise for its progressive, modern approach and its Silesian pride.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, and it was immaculate. Also, the small things make a difference, which is why I'm writing to say the body wash (Elemental Herbology) in the hotel smells so good. I will definitely stay again.

Convenient location, good bar

Our room was large and very comfortable with excellent air con. It had everything you needed. The staff were professional, friendly and efficient. It was an excellent location next to everything. The bar was a nice environment for drinks. The price was extremely good value for money. I can't think how it could be improved other than a shower cubicle rather than a shower over a bath but that is personal choice.

The hotel is good and clean, but the service especially from front desk is terrible. I sent an email a month ago for connecting rooms for the family, but they have put us on different floors....after asking to put at least on the same floor for 10 minutes. the person agreed to do something. We asked for twin room he put us in rooms with only one queen bed. I asked to bring a roll in bed, they answered they don't have any in the hotel. Once on the floor where the rooms were, i noticed inside the storage room where the housekeeper kept their stuff two roll in beds. I went back to reception desk and they still argue there was on roll in beds in the hotel even after showing picture! Both people at the front desk didn't want to be bothered and continuously speak to each other in polish. Very surprised with that kind of service at an ACCOR hotel.

Fantastic location, new modern build

Last week I stayed at this hotel, and this was my second stay. I had a conference in another place (Szczyrk), and after the conference I stayed here for flight connection. Smooth check-in, great breakfast and relatively late check-out time (12:00). Almost nothing to complain. One thing I would say, the shower booth smells a bit. The room I stayed before was perfect, and this could be made better.

This hotel is located just in front of Katowice central station, and a bus from the Katowice airport also stops here. Check-in was smooth, and room is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed breakfast. There are variety of "side" menus like charcuterie, fromage, hummus, honey from real honeycomb(!), etc. Check-out time is 12:00, and this helps me. After a long flight, I wanted to sleep longer and got up relatively late.

Perfect place with everything around you and easy and safe to walk at night. Alot of things to do around. Hotel is very clean so is the city. Staff very attentive and helpful and room are neat and tidy. Good selection of food in breakfast to start your day and great opportunity for spa on the top floor. Smooth check in and out . Hassle free and lovely stay.
