We stayed in the studio apartment. It was such a great location walkable to many stores and restaurants. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. They gave us some great recommendations. Also the welcome drink at the rooftop bar was a nice welcome!

Hotel is perfectly positioned in the old town of Funchal with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants very close by. The room was a good size and we had beautiful sea views. Breakfast had a good selection however earliest access was 7:30am which was a problem as many tours had a pick up pre 8am. Due to a relatively small dining area, this caused a bottle neck for other guests also. For some mornings breakfast felt very rushed for us and far from ideal ahead of a days hiking.

The rooms were poorly ventilated as the windows were covered to make a bathroom inside the room only divided by glass panels. The only windows were to the hallway outside. Very unhealthy and poor design
