I stayed in a city view room with a big window that opened towards the street. The bathroom toilet has a frosted swing door and shower has a clear glass swing door. Not private, just fyi if you’re going with a partner or other. AC was cold, but could have been colder. Rooftop pool and steam room were great! Close to markets, restaurants and metro.

I was surprised at how queer positive it was. Thought it was just an adult’s only hotel. It’s awesome that places like that exist. The staff were super nice and helpful, the pool was nice and I enjoyed the sauna. Had the breakfast once and it was really good and worth getting. Met people from around the world and had a wonderful time. Additionally it’s close to the metro and from there you can get to most places in the city

Receptionist was awesome. Made us feel very welcome and told us about cool places nearby. The hotel is heterosexual-friendly, and we saw many straight couples there too. Everyone was polite, respectful and kind though.

The property looks nice but it has issue. Our door wasn’t working when we arrived. They also had a plumbing issue so there was no water for a full day and no hot water for most out our stay.

The staff were fantastic, and even though my spanish was not great, they were very accomodating. My wife and I are a queer couple and were looking for a place in Barcelona, and this was a good choice. They were very respectful towards us and the guy at reception was super friendly and even spoke a little Finnish. Although we are a queer couple, we saw a lot of straight hotel guests staying there, and it was a very inclusive place and a fun environment. We will be coming back again soon!

The hotel location is very convenient and the facilities are nice and clean. The staff was welcoming and very helpful and friendly. It’s a little bit pricey but it’s Barcelona in the summer. They have a nice roof deck as well if you want to enjoy that.

Loved staying at The Axle 2 Hotel, great staff, super friendly & helpful, great hotel & pool. We were a bit it early in the season so the roof top pool was a plus but not enough umbrellas for the early heat we were experiencing, also the halls had a particular smell they should address, over all a great stay, conveniently located to all the sites of Barcelona , extremely gay friendly hotel, will absolutely stay again!

This hotel is great, but my only complaint would be...there is a bar in the lobby at the front desk..when i asked for a cocktail the first afternoon, they told me they could only serve me a beer or wine, even though i can see hundreds of bottles of every type of liquor right there on the bar. So there is only an illusion of a bar, not a real bar. SEcondly, they claim to have a bar on the roof by the pool. And that bar is empty of everything and was never open while i was there. And looks like it hasnt been a bar for quite a while (years, maybe).. So, a bit of false advertising i would say. Other than that.. it was great.

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean, well sized and quiet. Air conditioning wasn't working on the first day but was fixed when we asked. We were there in April, so the amenities were limited. Pool was cold, sauna was closed, but I'm sure this changes in the season. Breakfast was standard European hotel buffet. Cheese, meats, toast, scrambled eggs etc... nothing exceptional. Overall this was a good stay, well priced and accommodating. Worth noting though, for a LGBTQ+ hotel there seemed to be many heterosexual couples there.

Room is clean, staff is very friendly, the location is very convenient to either walk or take metro to the main tourist attraction spots. The hotel offers a decent breakfast at a fee which is very handy. The hotel is particularly close to an airport shuttle bus station in the city center, so for new visitors to Barcelona is extremely helpful to manage the transportation between airport and central city area. Just make sure you choose a room that can have a better view. The cheaper rate usually get your window staring at an inner well space that almost gives you no day light.
