I made a mistake with my booking and tried to reverse it an hour later and no one was interested. Shameful....won't go near Wotif or this hotel again.

What we liked: - cleanliness - the bathroom - perfect location in the fort What we didn't like: - there was no laundry service (it states there is) - we had a bad experience of service at the cake shop which is linked to the hotel. They messed up our order and it took a while to sort out the bill. We then had to pay the bill in two payments of which we were shortchanged because they didn't have the correct money. Finally we were charged a 10% dine in fee despite already staying that the hotel. - Layout of the room, single bed in the middle of the whole living space. - They didn't replace our toilet roll and bedding was not refreshed - Woken up at very early every morning due to loud noise, furniture moving and chairs scraping on the floor

Calm stay in unawatuna not in the popular street. The hotel is renovated, small boutique hotel, breakfast tasty we had avocado and poached eggs you can choose what you want. There's AC which is good in srilanka but unfortunately no fridge in the room

For the price and location this is a great find, room was clean and served a nice breakfast. The only down side for me was the room smelt a bit musty. That was the only negative for us.

This place is lovely. The staff are fabulous, the rooms gorgeous and the area it is in is the perfect place to explore Galle Fort. It is also absolute value for money

This is a great little hotel right in the heart of Galle Fort, with wonderfully attentive staff, particularly the gentleman who done the breakfast, he was so lovely, thank you for chatting with us and a wonderful breakfast! The room we had was big with the bed being upstairs and had it not had a few issues I'd have rated it a 5, but we had a leak in the ceiling, too much furniture in the downstairs section, the shower ran between scalding and freezing no matter what you did and the water doesn't drain properly so it travels out towards the room, also our fridge did not work, however in the grand scheme of things this wasn't a huge problem. It's a lovely place to stay, rooms have aircon (most likely to be the cause of the leak), fridges, they are good sized and the bed (double) was comfortable, all in all we had a lovely stay here! Also, there is no lift and many stairs up to the first floor where the rooms are, also some rooms have stairs in them, not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The location is amazing, right in the middle of Galle Fort which is ideal - quiet too for a central place. Staff really friendly and always greeted with a smile. Our room was ok - comfy bed, however there were a few things to note; no kettle/water/teas & coffees etc., the room had a musty/stagnant smell, and quite dark & dingy. It did the job for a couple of nights, but wouldn’t want to be in there much longer. There were also mental bars on the windows rather than glass, felt a little odd!

It was one of the best properties during our Sri Lanka visit. The room was small but had everything needed like fan, AC, wardrobe, minibar, phone, work desks. Good Wifi. The washroom was spacious and clean. The best part was the location which is right in middle of Galle fort area surrounded by restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.

Despite being told that there is a security guard to allow for entry 24hours, I was twice locked out of the hotel. On my last night, I waited for 90 minutes before having to find somewhere else to stay. When I arrived the following morning, they did apologise but offered nothing more.

The location was fantastic, right in the centre of Galle fort. Rooms were very nice and we got a fab rate!

We loved the older style building with the high ceilings, big open areas and the cozy room complete with desk, refrigerator, blow dryer and cleanliness. The staff were very helpful and you have the use of the sister property's pool just a short walk up the Road which was fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay in Galle and at 56 by Deco.

great location, great price, comfy beds, good strong air-conditioning, great bathrooms, access to pools at 44 Deco.

It was such a pleasant stay. The room was super clean. loved the stay even with the small room we picked. Would be perfect if the shower have much warm water. Staff was so helpful and Galle will be my most fav stay.

The location is the main thing that recommends this accommodation. Getting woken at 6am each morning by the staff shouting to one another or the smoothie maker and having no windows in the room were not what I expected. Individually the staff were mainly delightful and kind, but the location enables this accommodation to over charge.

Great hotel in the centre of Galle Fort. It's a small hotel with nicely proportioned rooms and good bed. Breakfast was great and service was as expected, very friendly. They have their own waffle house too so easy lunches.
