It’s being already conveyed in two different episodes There are better hotels close bye, may their rates not so expensive as Mirage but their services in no way second to a star Hotel. Across Galle Road there are Hotes better in services. It’s my fate that I listened to Colombo friends who recommended strongly now all of us are sorry about that. What to do my bad luck.

Right by ocean and train tracks this hotel is ok if you are staying on budget but want 4 star.
Ocean here is not clean for swimming though but good for views. Breakfast options are okay not very big. Stayed here because it was close to a local family members house.

I WAS UNDER THE " ILLUSION " I WAS PAYING IN SIR LANKAN RUPEES BUT WHEN I GOT HOME , I FOUND I HAD PAID IN INDIAN RUPEES . THIS WORKED OUT AT TWICE THE PRICE AND THE HOTEL WAS NOT WORTH IT.
WILL NEVER DEAL WITH EXPEDIA AGAIN.
I WENT TO A SEAFOOD BUFFET AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT AND HAVE SEEN MORE SEAFOOD AT A VEGAN NIGHT.
AND THE RESTAURANT COOKS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO COOK MEAT ,ESPECIALLY STEAK.

The Brach is only accessible across a very busy road and a railway line. The beach is at low tide no more than 30 ft. wide and has a number of sewage outflows along its front. Rooms and hotel staff are good. Travel from this hotel to places such as Sigiriya and Galle is long winded and expensive. A couple of nights OK anymore than that forget it.

We found our stay at the Mirage Colombo very disappointing. The staff were rude and unhelpful and not very knowledgeable eg when I asked them for a map so I could see where we were located, they didn't have one, when they did find one of Colombo in a magazine they still couldn't located exactly where the hotel was or what there was to see in the area. The hotel is also on a busy road and with a train track with trains passing very regularly which seemed to shake the whole hotel making our room quite noisy. However the pool was very nice and the food and the service in the restaurant was good.
