Stayed here for a week as a solo traveller. Good location. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The room I had overlooked the sea and had floor to ceiling windows. It was spotlessly clean. The cleaning staff were thorough. Plenty of towels, toiletries , water etc.
I ate in the main buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The choice was excellent, the food displays were beautiful and all of the staff were kind and helpful.
The coffee shop on the ground floor served good coffee and snacks.
All of the staff were friendly, efficient and kind.

Excellent value and a very varied and delicious breakfast. The room is very comfortable but do t expect a high-end 5 star hotel… it’s still amazing value and I’d definitely stay there again. Again, excellent breakfast!

they ask me if i want up grade and i said yes they told me i have to pay
i inform them that i am a gold member with expedia and show the lady your email where you inform me that i can get up grade but she refused
other wise i do not mind staying in this hotel again

The property is located in a pretty grubby area of Colombo (but, in truth, most of Colombo is grubby. Poverty is not pretty)
The hotel itself, although reasonably new is tired and worn and needs maintenance. (Not terrible but not 5 star)
The staff are very friendly and always smiling/chatty. That said, service is slow and erratic.
Dining is not great (Cold roast which was supposed to be hot as an example).
The best patisserie in the lobby. Lovely cakes and patisseries. You won't find a good cappuccino though.
Nice enough rooftop pool but again, not 5 star quality.

Strange room, the showerroom side does not have door, so it's cold when you shower, the shower heat is not stable, air-conditioning for room not stable.
