Great location for bus and trains. Staff are excellent and we received a friendly response from Lisa when we checked in. She was informative and helpful.
Evening meal was delicious and presented very well. We stayed 6 days and breakfast buffet was delicious and plenty of choices.
Only comment was there is no decaf coffee. However this was not a big issue due to the variety of teas available - our favourite was ginger and honey black tea. The cost of the accommodation is very reasonable and I would recommend it to others. I would certainly return without hesitation.

The spectacularly grand old building transports you back in time, while having modern conveniences.
And the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

This is a very nice hotel in exactly the right location in the center of Kalmar. Lovely,large rooms with lots of light. We will be back!

The location is excellent and the breakfast was nice. The worst was the sofa bed that my 11 yo had to sleep on. Mattress super thin you could feel the coil.

I loved it. The building is about 150 years old, although there are modern conveniences. The doors are big and heavy, the floors are wide plank bare wood, the stairs are stone or concrete, but the feeling is of the 1870s. The staff were very nice although reception was not always manned. Breakfast was good. The location is excellent for the train or bus or to tour the castle or the museum. Very central. I would go back.

We didnt get a chance to stay in the place at all, yet we were charged the full price. The Reception and the hotel shuts down at 8 PM and there was a number posted on the entrance. When I called, no one picked up. Ended up looking for another hotel at 10:30 PM.

Very nice 4 star hotel right in the heart of the historic centrein a perfect location for all the best bars and restaurants and only two minutes walk to the train and bus station. Super friendly staff on reception. A special thanks to Lova.

Trevligt hotell och vänlig personal. Fräscht och rent på rummet, men inget extra. Huvudkuddar i storlek av barnkudde. Badrummet rent men behöver nog moderniseras. Anonym duschtvål i behållare på väggen. I frukosten fanns allt man kan önska men hoppa över äggröran, levde inte upp till förväntningarna. Hotellets restaurang kvällstid var dock mycket bra!

Hotellet är ganska slitet och gammalmodigt. Aldrig varit med om så dåligt med toalett/dusch - toalett och ett minimalt tvättfat i en liten skrubb och mitt emot i den lilla hallen en annan liten skrubb ombyggd till dusch. Inga hyllor att ställa ifrån sig saker, varken i "toalett-skrubben" eller "dusch-skrubben". Tog 5-10 minuter att få fram varmvatten på morgonen. Tunnslitna handdukar bidrog till det miserabla intrycket. Frukostbuffén var mycket bra i alla fall.
Check-in och check-out via mejl kändes väldigt opersonligt och tråkigt.

Övriga möbler var trasiga och höll på att trilla ihop!!
Fanns ej ngr krokar i badrummet till handdukarna.
Var ej ngn städning av rummet under Påskhelgen!

Jag tyckte mycket om hotellet som var i ett underbart gammalt hus nästan som en gammal borg eller liknande rummen var ju fantastiskt skick frukosten var underbar personalen var vänlig och tillmötesgående har bara gott att säga om det här hotellet dessutom ligger mitt i centrum
