Great location for bus and trains. Staff are excellent and we received a friendly response from Lisa when we checked in. She was informative and helpful. Evening meal was delicious and presented very well. We stayed 6 days and breakfast buffet was delicious and plenty of choices. Only comment was there is no decaf coffee. However this was not a big issue due to the variety of teas available - our favourite was ginger and honey black tea. The cost of the accommodation is very reasonable and I would recommend it to others. I would certainly return without hesitation.

Shopping, dining and sightseeing are all in walkable distances.

The location is excellent and the breakfast was nice. The worst was the sofa bed that my 11 yo had to sleep on. Mattress super thin you could feel the coil.

Beautiful Historic Hotel, well located across the street from train station. Wonderful breakfast with so many healthy choices. Enjoyed using the sauna.

For the money is okay but it was a warm nights and has no AC. we were suffering since there is no AC.

Location is great, nice quiet and quaint.

The spectacularly grand old building transports you back in time, while having modern conveniences. And the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

This is a very nice hotel in exactly the right location in the center of Kalmar. Lovely,large rooms with lots of light. We will be back! Richard

Loud rock music until 2 a.m. made sleep impossible on Saturday night. Apart from that, breakfast selection was excellent, room was clean and staff helpful.

I loved it. The building is about 150 years old, although there are modern conveniences. The doors are big and heavy, the floors are wide plank bare wood, the stairs are stone or concrete, but the feeling is of the 1870s. The staff were very nice although reception was not always manned. Breakfast was good. The location is excellent for the train or bus or to tour the castle or the museum. Very central. I would go back.

We didnt get a chance to stay in the place at all, yet we were charged the full price. The Reception and the hotel shuts down at 8 PM and there was a number posted on the entrance. When I called, no one picked up. Ended up looking for another hotel at 10:30 PM. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.

Frimurarhotellet är bra, men de senaste gångerna jag varit där har frukosten inte känts så fräsch. Äggröran var torr en gång, iskall en annan gång.

Trevligt, centralt boende.

Charmigt hotell med mysiga och tysta rum. Bra utbud på frukostbuffén. Restaurangen Kalmar Kött och Bar som ligger i anslutning till hotellet hade väldigt god mat och trevlig personal.

Perfekt läge, bra pris, trevlig service, bekvämt men gammalt, slitet och dammigt rum.

Mycket bra! Superbra läge mitt på torget.
