Hotel Hirschen am See

This was my first time with you and I must say that the service is excellent and the staff very friendly !: my key was ready in an envelope as promised (late check in), all the instructions were clear and correct and the breakfast and check out perfect. My only regret is that my room didn't have bathroom: this was very upsetting when I arrived, around midnight. I checked again in my booking and I didn't find that important information. Hopefully I managed to find the common bathroom across my room.

The staff were very helpful. Eating on the patio overlooking the Lake of Zurich was fantastic. I had a fantastic dinner with wine made across the street, fish (perch) caught that morning, and great fresh gazpacho. The downside? I had a room on the top floor,?in the eaves. I bumped my head several times. It was also three flights of steps (I’m 74). The window was street side, with traffic noise and a fan for the heat. No elevator. Maybe getting a ‘good deal’ on Expedia wasn’t such a good deal.

Unfortunately not clean and very old furniture.

Beautiful and hip space. Amazing lake views. Breakfast was really nice. I’m on crutches after a ski incident, would have been nice to have some help w the bag as there is no elevator. But all in all, hotel was excellent

Hatte ein kleines Doppelzimmer für meine Mutter gebraucht. Netter Empfang, süßes Zimmer mit Block auf den See. Meine Mutter hat sich wohl gefühlt und war zufrieden

Nice hotel by the lake at a quiet area but service is poor. Did I mention there is no elevator at the hotel. You have to carry all the suitcases by yourself up and down the stairs. No service provided..

Localização incrível, pertinho do arco do triunfo e da torre, o quarto é bem tecnológico e da pra controlar tudo por ipad, cama ótima, chuveiro ótimo, black out na cortina muito bom, funcionários excelentes. Estou voltando para paris em uma semana e vou ficar novamente no hotel

Nettes, gemütliches sowie persönlich geführtes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind schlicht eingerichtet. Die Zimmer zur Strasse sind eher laut und die Aussenbeleuchtung des Hotelschilds liess mein Badezimmer und (wenn man die Türe nicht schliesst) das Zimmer hell erstrahlen. Das störte etwas.

We loved the location of this property and the beautiful lake views! Public transport into Zurich was very quick and easy with bus stops a minute or two from the hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly and very welcoming. Gorgeous bedrooms, comfy beds and very clean. Delicious buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff are all very helpful & welcoming Also remember us from previous visits although our visits are short. This hotel has brilliant views of lake Zurich. It is a real good deal

Positives: Cannot beat the ambience...hotel is set on lakeside Zurich...beautiful. When we checked in we were helped by Mario, who was extremely friendly, professional & helpful. Lobby is small & quaint adjacent to the restaurant with wood floors. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a boutique hotel, cozy but upscale. When you are not in your room you can either relax at a table outside with a glass a wine or walk a few steps to the pier & enjoy the view. Rooms had an unbeatable view of the lake, as well. Hotel restaurant has indoor/outdoor dining options & offers a varied selection with a slight emphasis on fish/seafood. Waiter was very patient when we had questions, especially since none of us speak German. We had a good breakfast that was included & the checkout process was efficient. Negatives: While the main floor of the hotel is updated & still maintains a boutiquehotel charm, the same cannot be said of the rooms. They are in need of a renovation. Furniture is tattered, carpet needs replacing & bathrooms need updating. Our beds were hard & uncomfortable, too. Also, the rooms were not dirty but there needs to be extra care in housekeeping. Cob webs and dust in crevices, for example. Breakfast selection was good but they kept running out of things & had to wait for them to refill. I enjoyed the fresh fruit, eggs with cheese & bacon but the only sweet pastry was a very mediocre croissant. Last, no elevator. Overall, we still had a pleasant stay.

I stayed in a long stay room for three nights. I found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. My room looked out over the lake and was great value for money. It was easy to get into Zurich by a short bus ride and train in less than 30 minutes.
