Pullman Basel Europe

A superb hotel for my first visit to Basel. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. There’s a good restaurant, very friendly and professional staff, and the tram is minutes walk away. I was very pleased and impressed with this hotel.

Good location and close to old town. Reasonable price.

Excellent place to stay in central Basel. Friendly staff and the Basel Card for visiting tourists is a bonus. All local public transport for free.

Really good location. Hotel is big and clean, room was lovely and huge and got very good light. Reception staff could not have been nicer.

One of the best Pullman hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Not only it’s very central, they provide you with free public transport for your stay (apparently a lot of hotels in Basel do this), their service was warm and friendly, they provide you with bottles of still and sparkling water! Also memory foam pillows! Which was what I needed after a long day!

Nice hotel in Basel and reasonably priced- apart from the breakfast - wow that’s expensive for tea and toast.😳. Service is great but then it usually is in Switzerland. No kettle in the room but that was soon corrected. Get a garden room if you can. Those at the front can be noisy.

Everything about this hotel works well. Good location near the city centre but is quiet during the night. Try and get a garden room rather than one facing the street. Breakfast is eye watering in price but it’s nice. Restaurant can do an evening meal but it’s not a great choice.

Enjoyed the excellent service at the Pullman! Great location - shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Tram pickup right outside the door. Food and drink in the lobby restaurant were fantastic - loved the venison ghoulash. Clean comfy rooms. Had trouble with the heat/air but we opened a window. Overall highly recommend.

We arrived after a day of international travel at 11am and was told check in was at 3:00 but they would let us know if our room was available sooner. Our Hotel.com room must have been a very low priority. For the next 4 hours we saw no less than 40 other people get checked in ahead of us.

Staff was excellent, room very good. A bit expensive, but convenient to town center. The area around the hotel had massive construction going on. A bit noisy, but very quiet at night. Two negatives: shower was terrible, one minute it was extremely hot and the next it was suddenly ice cold. Taking a shower was an adventure. Also the room was a bit warm, and the thermostat didn’t work. Overall though, a nice hotel. We’d definitely stay there again.

The rooms were big and comfortable. Two issues: one is that the arc channels did not have any description, so it was difficult to see what I was watching. The second issue relates to the price of the breakfast in comparison to the quality. The price is equivalent to a dinner meal out, but the quality is slightly lower than expected.

We had to stay in Basel for one night due to a sudden change in vacation plans and chose Pullman due to its convenient location and high ratings. And the hotel did not disappoint. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable (especially, the beds). The breakfast had many tasty options, so everyone in our family found foods that they liked. The staff were very attentive. The hotel is conveniently located near a tram line, close to the city center and the train station. We could even glimpse the Muenster from our room! Importantly, despite proximity to the tram tracks, the noise was not bothersome in the least. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider staying at the Pullman in the future.
