Great hotel in a great location in Basel, near the Messe and lots of cute neighborhoods and restaurants. Right on several tram lines and a short walk to the river. More business than boutique hotel, but friendly, clean, and modern with spacious rooms. I had a room with a balcony on the back of the building, very quiet and looks out over an internal courtyard and other buildings.

Received a bad check-in experience with a staff that repeated the same sentences like robots and didn’t hide how annoyed she was.
I don’t think the principle of hospitality were uphold and will prefer the Marriot for my next trips to Basel.

Our room was clean and comfortable BUT it was very hot and we couldn’t turn the temperature down. We slept with the window open which helped a bit but it was then very loud with outside noise. That was the only negative. The staff was excellent as was the breakfast.

Loved our stay here. The room was comfy and cozy. It has a kettle with tea options and a coffee machine. The lights had different settings which was really great. The bar area was nice. Staff were friendly.
