Stayed in the hotel with my son in early July, 2025. Overall experience is great. Nice helpful staff: love 4 complimentary bottles of waters. This helps us greatly every day. Helped us to answer questions about transportation to Wulai and helped to call taxi to Wulai. The only thing we hope the hotel can think about is to provide breakfast in the morning. There are not many breakfast stands/shops nearby. Getting feed in the morning is a challenge 😀.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, only 2 mins-walk from Daan Park (exit 1 for stairs, exit 6 for elevator). Surrounded by convenient stores: PX-Mart, 7-11, Family Mart. 7 mins-walk to Yongkang street. Highly recommend for those who want a peaceful area during night time.

The room is spacious, but the condition is pretty old. There's a big bathtub, but the space for standing is very limited. Didn't get a room upgrade despite VIP access. It seems they don't really know about expedia membership benefits.

服務不錯，唯電視畫面質不太好，建議該更新。冷氣有些房間太冷，風口也不易調整，有些不會。熱水瓶的把手有的會燙手建議每一間都有安置行李架，比較方便喔！不過服務人員都還蠻盡力的去服務客人，讓人安心，謝謝！

Definitely the strangest hotel I stayed in in Taiwan. There are both good and bad points and some really weird things. Overall would not stay here again unfortunately. The good: the view of Da'an Park is amazing and excellent value for the money. The hotel is older but has a lot of quirkyiness, an 80s style atrium and glass elevator, a gothic look with a lot of old wood, multiple renaissance style paintings, a truly amazing bathroom, and well proportioned rooms. The bad: this hotel does not have fire doors which is the main reason I would not stay here again. The service was curt and while not rude was not particularly helpful or friendly. I speak Mandarin fluently and asked whether there was a place to wash clothes was told "Please turn right." Because I had read Hotels.com reviews, I knew they would provide detergent. So I asked about this, and the woman just wordlessly turned around and gave it to me, but there's literally no sign anywhere saying that and she gave no indication that she would have provided this if I had not explicitly asked. At minimum this would have involved another trip to the desk. I am a Mandarin speaking Anglophone Asian. The people at the desk seemed significantly less weird with white guests, so ymmv on this point. It was mildly annoying, not a real dealbreaker. The weird: pretty strong smoking smell on the 12th floor and....a mirror on the ceiling, which we chose to mostly find funny.
