The hotel is walking distance from almost everything in the French Quarters. It is an old building, yet everything works and kept clean. Parking is valet only so your vehicle won’t be easily accessible. Unless you’re visiting longer than a weekend, you probably won’t need your car anyway. Front desk receptionist was friendly & very welcoming.

This hotel was a great surprise. It was spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful and location was perfect for walking, attractions and Bourbon Street. We would definitely return. So clean... even the lobby bathroom!!

Small rooms, not a comfortable bed, no water pressure in shower or sink. Old hotel and it smells like it. Don’t let the fact that some rooms have balcony’s, barely 2 people fit out on it.

In town for Jazzfest and so glad to have chosen Bienville House. Beverly, Adrience and Carmen welcomed me like I was an old friend, and the rooms and grounds are just stunning. There's a tiki bar and you are steps away from the shuttles. Koi Therapy is also within blocks in case you want a foot or full body massage after all that walking. Southern Candy makers is right next door and they even make lemon pralines. You even get access to their sister property Hotel Monteleone- the one with the rotating carousel bar you saw in Girl's Trip. You will be glad for this surprisingly quiet sanctuary after your NOLA adventures. Bonus-rideshare is quick here and you are out of the French Quarter quickly from this location.

I enjoyed my stay, however, I stayed in one of several rooms located near the service elevator. The "ding" from the service elevator started very early each morning, and one morning, it woke me up at 3 am. I don't know if this was the staff using the elevator, or a guest who used the elevator despite the sign saying for staff only.

We enjoyed its history, its decor, the bar, the bed was a bit of elegance with the high bed posts and I felt safe there. Our vehicle was parked and protected as well. PJ’s coffee in our room. A New Orleans flare to it. Cordial people there. Nice setting areas inside and outside as well. Nice pool too . Tiki bar was unique. We loved it!

My only problem was not with this property but with Expedia who screwed up my reservation and when I went to check in they said they didn't have a reservation for me. I had my written confirmation and they checked me in saying they would research the problem to see what happened. Turned out that Expedia had booked dates different from what was on my confirmation. That is very stressful.

Overpriced for what you get….simply paying for the location.
Room was clean but not what I consider a “deluxe king”. The floors creaked, the bathroom was tiny and the walls were very thin.
The staff was not super helpful and thru charge for a late checkout and will not let you pay to leave your car parked past checkout.
So ridiculous- for what we paid for the room, an hour late check out should not have been an issue. Definitely will not be back here. Plenty of other hotels in the area with a good location as well, with better service.
