I have to say we checked in at 1 o’clock in the morning, and the girl at the front desk was excellent. The room was nice. It wasn’t overdone by any means the beds were very very comfortable. The bathroom could stand a little updating, but it was fine. I would go back again.

Hotel was a dump and in middle of construction. Our room smelled like someone was smoking at open doorway and hotel couldn't fabrezze it enough. Not to mention the police banging on a door at midnight because of a disturbance that requires fire department and ambulance. No security to call as phone in room was disconnected. I should have researched it more but it reminded me of those motels people go to shoot up. How this property is in a good area if Encinitas is crazy.

Location is excellent for food and entertainment. It is close to many fine restaurants and grocery stores. The hotel was under construction. It seemed to me that they are in the process of rennervating the rooms. The room I was in was very dated. I could tell the staff does a fine job cleaning. However, the carpet, drapes, walls seemed to have 20 years of use. I found the mini fridge iced over and not working. I used the first day defrosting it. It worked well the next three days. The microwave was dirty, and the inside was rusted out. I choose to use takeout and use the fridge for my beverages. I have to put this experience in the you go what you paid for. The price was reasonable and considering I was using the room for showers and sleeping, I feel I got what I paid for. I would love to visit the site again after the renovations as the staff was excellent.

Orher than being close to the beach, restaurants and shopping, the room had cracks in the ceiling, walls and the bathroom shower was completely leaking into the bathroom floor when showering. Had to use towels to keep it from flooding. Never ever staying there again. This place should not be operating with the rooms they had. They were disgusting. It is a garbage hole.

This place was rundown and dirty. In our room, there were floor boards with staples sticking out. there was a wet stain on the carpet by the refrigerator. And my family and I ended up with bites all over our body.

The location was great, as it was cclose to the moonlight beach (2 to 3 blocks away). Also, a great grocery store (similar to Whole Foods).and other eateries and shops are right accross thebstreet from the hotel. However, the room itself, was not the best. The first room smelled like clorox. The smell was so strong, they had to switch the room for us. Also, overall room, carpet, bathroom, etc. Just felt like it needed a makeover. I mentioned to the front desk attendant that the carpet looked like it needed cleaning, and possibly replacing.
