Room filthy. No phone in room , Bed lumpy, limited breakfast. Terrible stay

Hotel was a dump and in middle of construction. Our room smelled like someone was smoking at open doorway and hotel couldn't fabrezze it enough. Not to mention the police banging on a door at midnight because of a disturbance that requires fire department and ambulance. No security to call as phone in room was disconnected. I should have researched it more but it reminded me of those motels people go to shoot up. How this property is in a good area if Encinitas is crazy.

Rooms small but clean functional and adequate

Very worn room creaky bed terrible “breakfast” which consisted of a granola bar and coffee with grounds in it very disappointed in not only hotels.com but days in we paid quite a bit for this room and it was the worst that I’ve ever stayed at in recent history

The rooms have multiple repairs needed, especially in the bathroom. There was mold on the shower putty/grout in a few places and horrible ceiling patch jobs beginning to get dark brown. It is unhealthy and they need professional assistance. Secondly, the walls need insulation. It was a very noisy w patience and I heard the upstairs people all night as if bouncing and pounding on the floor. Third, there is almost no air flow unless an ancient old window a/c is on, which is loud. Fourth, people party near their cars outside and it is noisy. Staff were not helpful and often did not pick up my calls. I paid over $750 for 4 days and it was awful. I do not plan on taking Expedia nor Wyndham Days Inn again.

It's in the process of being remodeled. It's a safe and clean place to stay, well used

There was no wifi for 2 days. The TV hand control did not work and was replaced for 3 days

Very convenient to the highway. Clean, good water pressure and temperature in the shower. I was there 5 nights, I assumed someone would straigten up the room at least once staying that long-fresh towels, etc.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is within walking distance to the beach and main 101 strip. Other than that, the pool is green and closed, rooms are dirty and outdated and it feels very unsafe for solo travelers.

There have long been rumours of an upgrade to the property, but it never seems to materialize. Place is getting worse & worse. Mold, funk, & non-existent maintenance. Maybe time to knock it all down & build from the ground up.

This is the worse Days Inn I have ever stayed in. It was a dump. The 1st room they gave me already had a guest in it. The 2nd room was right next to construction my room. Literally pounding on my wall till 6p. The room had exposed light bulb in the bathroom. A power cord with frig,microwave and tv plug into it. The ac cord had a bag over to prevent getting wet. The room stunk real bad. The next day they finally gave me a room upstairs. It was ok but stunk & carpet was gross. The pool was a joke& the breakfast was pkg oatmeal or apple or orange. Embarrassing Do not stay there unless desperate Staff did there best

Nice staff

Location is excellent for food and entertainment. It is close to many fine restaurants and grocery stores. The hotel was under construction. It seemed to me that they are in the process of rennervating the rooms. The room I was in was very dated. I could tell the staff does a fine job cleaning. However, the carpet, drapes, walls seemed to have 20 years of use. I found the mini fridge iced over and not working. I used the first day defrosting it. It worked well the next three days. The microwave was dirty, and the inside was rusted out. I choose to use takeout and use the fridge for my beverages. I have to put this experience in the you go what you paid for. The price was reasonable and considering I was using the room for showers and sleeping, I feel I got what I paid for. I would love to visit the site again after the renovations as the staff was excellent.
