If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the worst hotel experience of my life.
We booked through Expedia for a double bed room but after driving 6 hours in the rain, we arrived to find none available. Instead, we were stuck with side-by-side rooms. At check-in, the entrance reeked of marijuana with people laying on the ground smoking — not the welcome you want after a long trip.
The first room smelled so strongly of marijuana and cigarettes that we couldn’t breathe. The second reeked of wet feet. For the cost a night, the least they could do is clean or spray something. Instead, the property felt unsafe — with sketchy people loitering in hallways, screaming in the lobby, and a general atmosphere closer to a halfway house than a hotel.
To make things worse, Expedia tried to rip me off when we asked to switch hotels, quoting me double for a room across the street. When I refused, the rep even asked me, “Well, what’s your budget then?” Completely unethical.
Bottom line: filthy rooms, unsafe environment, dishonest booking practices. If you want a nightmare story for your next vacation, this is your place. Otherwise, save yourself the stress, money, and fear — stay anywhere else and avoid Expedia altogether.
