Holiday Inn Express & Suites SWEETWATER by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We found this on Expedia and walked in to ask for a room because we were just stopping on a road trip for the night. They said they were out of rooms. We got on Expedia in the parking lot, booked a room, walked back in and got the key. The hot breakfast was not very good, and the pancake machine was broken. We booked this hotel because it had an indoor hot tub, but it was out of order and wasn’t even filled with water.

Overall it fit our needs but I don’t think we’ll return in the future. The pull out sofa was broken. The cushions were stained and one cushion was torn. When we went to pull out the sofa bed, the spring fell off and we could not hook it back together because the entire piece that supports the mattress was already worn and it looked like it had been repaired multiple times. The entire hotel could use an update. I went to use the workout room which was crowded with equipment that did not work. There was no circulation in the room but I was able to use the recumbent bike. The staff were super friendly and kind. That was the best part.

Lots of construction workers. Our room wasn’t cleaned. The desk clerk came and changed linens and cleaned.

The room was ok. Not bad for 1 night. Definitely oil field filled place. Only problem we had was the shower. Luke warm water at best and the handle fell off in the tub.

Did not have a great stay here. Booked a room with 2 queen beds. They did not have the room available when we got there so kids slept on a pull out couch (which was not comfortable). The pool was not clean looking; hot tub was drained. Breakfast was not fresh and pancake machine was broken. Breakfast area was not clean.

We reserved a night at this hotel at 11 pm (we had a family emergency and had to drive late). Once we arrived at the hotel around 1:30 am, we were told they had no room for us and were sold out. It didn’t matter that we had a confirmation number. The entire town was sold out of hotel rooms. We had to drive an additional 1 1/2 hours to get a room. By the time we got there , it was close to 4 am. Horrible experience.

Property is old and in need of repair. Breakfast was great. Tesla charger present.

The room stunk so bad, not enough towels, clogged sink

There was no bar soap in the room. The freezer part of the fridge was almost completely froze soid with ice. The was loose tile in the bathroom.

I booked a king suite because In the pic it had a big bathtub - arriving there - checked in went to room not big bath tub. Elevator seemed like it was going to break anytime , the room was hot. The room we stayed in - the ac was so loud when the compressor kicked in. I couldn't get a good nights rest.

The hotle staff waa lazy. The check in lady put on makeup and left there was nobody to check in the people that showed up there was 8 people waiting on her. When she got back she claimed her parking spot waa under the covered part where coustmers are supposed to unload thier stuff. She made the coustmers trying to unload move so she could park there..i have never seen someone just leave with nobody to check them in nor i have seen an employee have a rignt to park where people have to unload. The next morning the lady that was working microwave everything potatoes was raw and sausage was hard and the the egfs was rubbery . She put no care into the breakfast. It waa undee stocked so we couldn't find anything to eat that was eatable.

Professional and kind employees. Great Breakfast. Clean Room. Quiet. Convenient.

Hotel is terrible disrepair. Beds were completely broken and very itchy. Sunken in the middle of each bed. Couch bed was broken. We did not sleep and had a long day on the road the next day. Breakfast was decent. Tile broken in bathroom. Staff was apologetic.

First time taking a shower without a shower curtain???

Not comparable to other Holiday Inn Express hotels we’ve stayed in before. Shower was awful, elevator didn’t work, out of hand soap, and breakfast was awful. Staff were friendly, room was clean, but hotel needs serious updating.

Elevators broken. Ice machine on second floor broken. Furniture is old.
