The staff and service were fantastic. We were helped several times by several different staff and they were all wonderful. The area was central and close to good transport to get to most of the major sights. The rooms were clean and larger than we anticipated. The immediate surrounding area felt safe to walk as a family in the earlier portions of the night (we were sleeping later so I can’t report on after 10pm), but the area felt safe.
Would definitely recommend The Barnes and stay here again if we return to San Francisco

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect. It was quiet and comfortable. And Carmen and Frankie were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks guys!

Staffs make you feel welcome. Excellent location. John grill for diner. Irish Foley pub Café Mason do have incredible Huevos Rancheros. Room is spacious. Union Square to see the very courageous skaters was delightful. We stayed 3 dsys and We will stay there again. Thank you for this pleasant experience.

The location is very strategic. Minus points are room is too small and the hot water for shower is not work properly.

Good location, that's the only thing about it. Staffs were very unhelpful and unfriendly. No basic amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste and sewing kit) in the room, when called to request it took so long to be delivered. They even asked if we can come and collect it on our own at the receptionist.

They charge my credit card without explanation before they charge my credit card without my sign or pin. The front office only said it’s for open card if I use room service or mini bar (but I didn't take this at all) I tried to email this hotel 5 times and not reply..... I wish this hotel can give explanation and more cooperative. Thank you
