I had an amazing experience at Yotel Hotel. From the moment I arrived after my event at the JJC (the hotel is very close to JJC). I was greeted promptly and friendliness from the front desk staff. My room was on the 18th floor and the view was spectacular. The restaurant on the 4th floor was reasonable, food was delicious, the waiter made me feel at home. The restaurant was outdoors. It was a perfect night with a summer breeze. The view that was breath taken. It was decorated so nicely with lights, Tropical plants I felt like I was on an island in the Pacific. The neighborhood is safe. I highly recommend staying at YOTEL Hotel for your next New York trip. There is plenty of transportation nearby. Taxi, Ubers, Lyfts. It was fantastic!

The view was amazing but that’s where it ended. The hotel room smelled like mildew and wet dog. Walls were dirty with streaks of something running down them. Stains on sheets and towels. The corners of the room look as they haven’t been vacuumed or cleaned in months. Horrible check in experience getting bounced back and forth. I have stayed at this hotel 2 times before and don’t recall it ever being this bad. I paid for the premium room this time with corner windows and I feel the room was in worse condition than the basic rooms. If I come back to NYC again I’ll be looking for a new hotel to stay at.

the staff were really lovely and it was only a short walk from times square it was very well located and we did tend to walk to most places, however on the first night we had to switch rooms due to the bed not working, then on the third night we woke up with no electricity running to the room they replaced something and we went out for the day, we got back and the electricity was out again when someone came up they were blaming us for having to much plugged into the plug socket on the desk which had 4usb ports and two plugs we were only using the plug sockets. as soon as the women left the electrical went again for the third time.

We had a terrible stay. The room had a weird smell, so we had to sleep with the windows open. With all the city noise, no one got any sleep. Our room did not have shampoo -- there were two bottles of body wash and no shampoo. Our room did not get made up after the first night. We made some requests via text messages we received (i.e. a trash can in the room) and they were all ignored. Finally realized it was a bot, and the hotel never acknowledged our requests at all. I am angry by the exorbitant rate we paid for such a lousy room and experience. They could at least reimburse us for the shampoo we had to buy at CVS across the street.

I had very high hopes for this hotel. I initially checked in to room 1612— the room was filthy and run down. Hairs were stuck to the walls, old papers from who knows how long ago in plain view, weird brown substance on the side of the bed frame, dysfunctional thermostat, dysfunctional mirror lights and bathroom lights, a super outdated TV, and scratched and run down room furniture. In person staff at the main desk were very helpful in getting me a new room (2422) and helping with the overall check-in process when I had my guest checking in when I’d be absent from the room. The people who answer the phone, aren’t the most helpful, I wish I could remember the name of the woman I’d spoken to. Security staff was great and I was glad to be able to store my luggage with them until I returned post check out. The YoBot was giving everyone issues. Rooms are ridiculously hot. 72 degrees as a default is highly uncomfortable to be in when it’s a heatwave outside, not to mention the thermostat only going to 68 degrees. At times it felt hotter in the room than outside. We had to resort to opening the tiny panel window to let some heat out of the room. The bed felt worse than laying on concrete. I stayed here for four nights for a convention (ANYC) which drain your energy a ton, and needless to say my body was ridiculously sore by the time I checked out. The ice machine on our floor (24) was hardly in service. The lights over the bed were about ready to fall out of their sockets.

My stay at this hotel in New York was extremely disappointing. The room was infested with cockroaches, and the furniture for both the bed and TV was broken. During my 3-night stay, cockroaches appeared every single night. The noise levels were also unacceptable, with people shouting and slamming doors in the hallways late at night. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
