Very impressed, the view is amazing, the staff is polite. We went up before check-in time, but the staff let us check into the room first. The room is clean, giving a feeling of loving nature. The food is a bit expensive. The swimming pool is very beautiful. Everything is good. The breakfast buffet tastes good. The croissants are very delicious. The butter smells great. Anyone who comes to Sapa must stay here. I recommend it. It's a bit expensive, but it feels really good.

Discover the Serene Beauty of Topas Ecolodge

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Lao Cai Province, Vietnam, Topas Ecolodge offers an unparalleled escape for travelers seeking tranquility and authentic experiences. This unique eco-lodge, renowned for its stunning mountain vistas and commitment to sustainable tourism, provides a perfect sanctuary for those looking to disconnect from the everyday and immerse themselves in nature. For Australian travelers planning their next adventure, Topas Ecolodge presents a compelling option, blending rustic charm with essential comforts.

Location and Transport Accessibility of Topas Ecolodge

Topas Ecolodge is situated in the picturesque Sapa District, a region celebrated for its verdant rice terraces and vibrant ethnic minority cultures. While not in a bustling city centre like Sydney's CBD or Melbourne's Fitzroy, its remote and stunning location offers a unique sense of seclusion. The lodge is approximately a 4-5 hour drive from Hanoi, the nearest major international gateway. For those arriving by air, the most common route involves flying into Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) in Hanoi, followed by a scenic overland journey. While direct public transport links to the lodge itself are limited due to its secluded setting, the journey through the mountainous terrain is an adventure in itself. Many visitors opt for pre-booked private transfers or comfortable sleeper buses from Hanoi to Sapa town, from where a short taxi or pre-arranged transfer will take you the final stretch to Topas Ecolodge. The surrounding atmosphere is one of profound peace, with panoramic views of the Hoàng Liên Son mountain range and the Muong Hoa Valley, offering a stark contrast to the urban buzz of places like Brisbane's South Bank.

Guest facilities at Topas Ecolodge are designed to enhance your connection with nature while ensuring a comfortable stay. The lodge provides essential amenities that cater to the needs of discerning travelers. You'll find a welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff ready to assist. While specific operating hours for all services are best confirmed directly, the lodge generally offers a 24-hour front desk to ensure assistance is always available. For those who enjoy starting their day with a good cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast, the on-site dining options are a highlight, often featuring fresh, local produce. Free Wi-Fi is typically available, allowing you to stay connected if needed, though many guests choose to disconnect and embrace the serene surroundings. Secure luggage storage is also a practical service for those exploring the region before check-in or after check-out.

Room Information and Stay Experience at Topas Ecolodge

The room types of Topas Ecolodge are thoughtfully designed to complement the natural environment, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration. Each bungalow or room is crafted with local materials, providing a rustic yet comfortable ambiance. Guests can expect clean and well-maintained accommodations, with a focus on providing a restful experience. Modern climate control systems ensure a comfortable temperature regardless of the season, a crucial factor for travelers accustomed to the climate control in Australian homes. The bathrooms are clean and functional, offering a refreshing space. All staffs are polite, nice and kind with service mind. It may not a 5 stars but the services are above 5 stars. The breakfast is kind of limit. The way to lodge is very far with rough road. One thing that kind of bother me is the distance between my room -> breakfast -> lobby. It consumed me lot of energy.

The location is too far, the design of the area is beautiful but the layout is not reasonable. I stay in the Deluxe Suite, the room has 2 floors, but I have to go upstairs to shower and then go downstairs to change. The location of the room to the swimming pool and to eat is quite far, it's cold after taking a shower, it's easy to catch a cold.

A relaxing stay away from the burden of the city. The view from the swimming pool and from the restaurant/bar is very nice. It's very chilled walking along the paths, enjoying the fresh air. However, there are not many choices for local food in this resort, and the price is high, while eating out is impossible as the resort is located in an isolated area with no surrounding restaurants and the roads leading to the resorts are hard for driving/motorcycling. Besides, there is not much to do here so I suggest staying one night is enough. Overall, it's a nice stay.
