Hotel Indigo CARDIFF by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Had a great stay Will be sure to check availability the next time I’m in Cardiff

Check-in was friendly and smooth. Room was spacious, clean and comfy; shower was particularly good. Only areas for improvement - there were couple of minor areas needing repair (card slot to turn on lights coming off and hand soap nozzle loose) and could do with more hangers in the wardrobe. Breakfast had a lot of choice and very good quality in a lovely setting. Location is very convenient for city centre. Overall a great stay and fantastic value for money, will definitely be back.

Great staff, fab location

Boutique style hotel, lovely, great service team.

The first room we were out in totally stunk of smoke, we rang reception and they moved us to a new upgraded room! The staff were lovely. The breakfast has changed to buffet style instead of ordering from a menu, and definitely isn’t as good now. Overall good stay though.

Staff were friendly and the room was very pleasant

Perfect hotel for what we needed and very smooth check-in. Room was great and big bathroom. Breakfast was good but they didn’t have the homemade granola (or any granola/muesli) as in the pictures.

Most things were fine except the most important factor, the bed. We have never stayed in a hotel where there was no matress, only a box spring. It was very uncomfortable. The worker at the front desk had no idea what a box spring was. The breakfast, while extensive was not hot and over cooked. It was as though it was prepared for when the opened and sat around for an hour or more. It had a great selection, but it was luke warm. For the price point, we expected more.

Absolutely amazing hotel, no complaints

Really enjoyable overnight stay! Exceeded expectations. Staff lovely. Room really cosy and styled great, bed very comfy and nice touch of aircon/heating controlled by room. Bar area and restaurant calm and very welcoming, brekkie was the best weve had in a hotel for a long while! Definitely be back and recommend to others.

The Indigo Hotel is a nice clean Hotel in the Heart of Cardiff. The Staff was great and helped us find places we wanted to eat and see.

Requested 2 extra pillows initially through a request on Expedia and then at reception. As our last stay at indigo the pillows were a little worse for wear. When I came to reception yesterday, the receptionist firstly didn’t receive the request and then shut me down immediately by saying no one but myself is here today and I can’t leave reception to get you pillows rather abruptly. Explained I would really need them for neck support she continued to repeat again and annoyed then proceeded to open cupboards and a door and said there’s nothing here and said I can’t leave the desk no one’s here but herself. The pillows were indeed as last time ball like clumps and not fit for purpose. We both have tried to sleep by evening using the duvet for support in order to sleep but had a rough uncomfortable night. We have a four hour journey and lack of sleep and neck stiffness is not ideal at all which could have been resolved by adding just two pillows requested. Shame love the hotel but will have to revert to our usual hotel in the future of our regular visits to Cardiff

We always stay at the Indigo when in Cardiff. Reception staff are so welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts are great.

Excellent central location. Staff are amazing. Rooms and bathrooms are fab. We always stay here when in Cardiff.

Great location right in the city centre. Very nice hotel with lovely room and comfy bed. Fab breakfast with lots of choice. Only slight downside was as situated in town centre, the noise was the nightclub nearby was pretty loud until 3am Saturday night/Sunday morning,

As per normal, hotel fantastic and extremely comfortable. We would always stay if the prices weren't often too high

Good central location

Brilliant central position for a weekend in Cardiff, close to the castle and a short walk to the theatre. Room was small but had everything we needed. Breakfast was exceptional for the size of the hotel and the staff at breakfast were great.

I prepaid for a room with two beds but upon arrival the hotel staff told me they only have a room with one bed available.

Very nice rooms and very friendly staff.
