Superb location, very close to shops and dinning options, right in the door of Cardiff Castle and very close to the Cardiff National museum. The room was clean, nice and the staff did the bed and changed my towels all days. Didn’t have breakfast, so can’t say anything about that. The lift was broken so this was an issue in terms of accessibility. Would return again.

Our third stay here. Breakfast was disappointing this time - overcooked food, making it dry and not very nice. Staff were friendly and welcoming but often slow service in the bar area. Comfortable and clean but could do with a refresh.

Price for breakfast was fair ,query what if you just would like a bowl of cereal as some people do not have a desire to eat anything else. The room was clean,tidy. Staff were friendly /helpful.

Didn’t get two keycards for me and my partner Lift was broken, had to drag my suitcase up the stairs Didn’t tell me what time breakfast was No refilling of empty things at breakfast so we didn’t have the option to have mushrooms or juice or a bottle of water for the table

Filthy dirty walls, carpets & doors all over really. Mould in bathroom, damaged sink, shower a trickle towel rail not working cold water was warm & hairdryer not worth having. Hallways & lobby stinks of drains. Plaster falling off walls in hotel. Staff didn’t even ask how our stay was I can only assume they have heard it all before. Did not stay for breakfast wouldn’t want the consequences of eating there. Absolutely terrible experience I suggest you take it off your books this was my first booking with Expedia & my last m.

It has great character with a beautiful staircase and chandelier. It is being renovated and is in need of some updating. Staff was lovely. Parking referenced was closed, there is a convenient lot across the street but requires payment.

Comfy relaxing stay. Good food and friendly staff. Its an ageing property but this gave it lots of character
