Hi, unfortunately my stay was a little spoilt. The pool area and changing rooms are showing signs of wear and does not seem to be very clean I booked this hotel, as it had a pool area). I have to say the staff in that area where great, very polite and professional. I also reported that my room had noise through the night coming from the Airconditioning area. Gurling noises, like water air locks in the pipes. This did spoil my nights sleep. I reported this to reception and they were very apologetic. Overall, the staff where very polite and professional.

Bit tired looking in places (the in-room phones look like relics from The Ark!) and could do with an update but it was clean and everything in the room worked. Very happy with the price and service. Breakfast was OK and the team provided gluten free toast on request. Bravo!

Rooms clean and comfortable, but the service in the bar and restaurant were DREADFUL! Too short staffed and staff not well trained - had to wait more than 15 mins for a drink! Food very average. Expensive for what I paid for a Saturday night in the middle of September.

I gave it 5 stars because the staff is very accommodating EXCEPT, there is no elevator and we had to haul 3 large suitcases, plus 3 carryons UP and DOWN the stairs. No help was offered. But, they are holding those same bags (long story) for us while we galavant around the UK

We appreciated how clean and quiet the room was. The check out at 12pm gave us the chance to relax after breakfast. The breakfast was very nice apart from the orange juice. The hotel and the guests deserve a better quality of orange juice.

The staff were very good only gets four stars because they did have trouble finding me with my dinner so it was a little bit cold when it arrived and breakfast was an absolute shambles not the fault of the hotel or the staff but the coachload of visitors that were very rude And anyone would think they’re never eaten before. Good Wi-Fi, you do have to pay for parking, which is a bit annoying

The staff were all very welcoming and Jason on reception was fabulous. The bar was comfortable and plenty of drink options. The room on the other hand felt very dated and the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that a restful nights sleep was not possible.

Good check inn with a warm cookie. Pool was OK just a shame swimming lessons takes up half the pool so hard to do lengths with anyone else in it. Got woken up at midnight by room service knocking on my door which was the wrong room.

We only stayed for the one night, passing through but the family enjoyed the stay in a comfortable room. Swimming pool is always useful but it’s not a bad standard hotel for a short stay

First impressions were good - great location to motorway, plenty of parking, smart exterior, restaurant and reception areas were both clean and well maintained. Away from the main areas you could see that the accommodation looked really tired and needing refreshing - doors to the standard bedrooms were marked and damaged, the swimming pool was too overcrowded as swimming lessons were happening in there, the steam room wasn’t working and the overall cleanliness wasn’t great. The sink in our room was blocked so we had to move room. The next room we were given was smaller and apparently a deluxe room, however the sink had a massive crack in it, the toilet seat wasn’t fixed properly and the king size bed was in fact 2 beds pushed together (and kept moving apart) with a bed sheet across them holding them together. The fittings around the shower were rusty, only 2 towels were supplied, dressing gowns were of a very small size and no choice in pillows. No information booklet in the room regarding hotel or area information. We were staying for 2 nights and did not have any maid service or fresh towels provided during our stay (lucky we used our beach towels). We were very disappointed as we’ve stayed in other Doubletree Hilton hotels before and their standards are alot higher. The photos of the rooms on the website are nothing like what the rooms are actually like.
