Good location and an interesting history to the hotel

Staff excellent

We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool in the spa area and thought there was a filling spread of food at the breakfast buffet. The hotel is within an easy walk of Harrogate's historic buildings, shopping, theatre, convention centre. We were there on a busy weekend and I think the only issue we had was with the paper thin walls between the room. We could make out every word that the people next to us were saying (they were not trying to be loud) when they came in late at night, and I'm sure that they didn't enjoy our family getting ready to use the pool for 7 am. It may be quieter during the week and if so would be perfect.

The hotel building is beautiful. The rooms were a bit basic for a Hilton and there was not even a bottle of water inside. The spa could be cleaner

Great location, beautiful hotel. Was put in a room with an adjoining door so got two nights it sounded like other people were having a conversation directly in our room. The hotel allows dogs so there was a distressed dog barking somewhere down the corridor. The spa felt quite grotty, with filthy floors in the changing rooms and rubbish strewn everywhere. Just didn't hit the mark on multiple points.

Extremely clean and beautiful fresh quality bedding and towels.Lovely big room and bathroom, we had 2 superking beds which were perfect for our family. All staff were very welcoming and always great you with a smile 😊 Enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar and breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 A most beautiful building, steeped in history, it’s been our pleasure to stay here.

The hotel was amazing, we wanted a relaxing weekend away without the kids and we had just that. The hotel is 5 min walk into Harrogate centre, parking was £15 for the night and I paid this upon checking in. Our room was very spacious but basic. The one and only negative I have is about the pillows and bed itself. The pillows were really hard as was the mattress. The hotel restaurant and bar is really nice, all well maintained not run down at all. Still lots of traditional features but well kept. We visited the spa at 7.30pm and did not need to book. The pool is only quite small but nice; the only rooms to use were sauna and steam room. We were given towels to use. All staff at the hotel were very pleasant. Breakfast was standard really; nothing special but no complaints. The room for breakfast itself is lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will return. We drove to fountains abbey from here (national trust) and enjoyed our trip from start to finish.

Magnificent old building with large rooms. Always good to have a swimming pool at a hotel. Slightly disappointed by having to pay £15 for parking as a hotel guest overnight

Lovely hotel in easy walking distance to town centre. Very traditional but in a modern way. Room was huge with lovely bedding towels and toiletries etc although furniture was a little tired. Restaurant and bar areas was very comfy and staff provided excellent service. Spa area was good although small however changing rooms were not very clean and the lockers were in a bad state of repair. Would definitely revisit hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay and there were some dtaff that where very respectful and currtious and polite specially the lady in the dining area Lucy she was very very helpful and very customer focused and polite and at the bar Zuruo was very respectful and went out of his way to make our stay very enjoyable. The only downfall was that the lifts kept breaking down but apart from this it was a wounderful stay and would recommend to other's

The staff were very friendly and helpful , spa and pool lovely on a wet day. Excellent breakfast and perfect location to enjoy the lovely town of Harrogate . We will definitely be back .

The hotel has lots of character, is maintained well, was very comfortable and the food was very good too.

Poor customer service upon arrival stating we had booked 2 identical rooms with 2 separate reference numbers via a third party.The hotels response was to contact Expedia as it was nothing to do with them.Hotel is quite tatty all round, dirty glass, chipped furniture & even one of our dressing robes had a large stain on the lapel. I’ve taken a compendium of photos of the state of the hotel but quite frankly it would be too embarrassing. This place is run by the Hilton group & quite frankly the stay was ‘awful.

Hotel was really close to harrogate center. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spar & pool we’re clean and a very nice. The room was nice just had some mould on the bottom of windows. Would definitely stay again

It was lovely but spa access is very limited at the spa if you arrive at the hotel late. Can’t access spa once checked out at 12 pm the next day.
