The hotel was "classic" but could use some updating

Great location in the heart of Old Montreal next to the Notre-Dame Basilica. Centrally located with easy walking distance to the Old Port and downtown "Centre-Ville". Flawlessly clean room was comfortable and spacious. Valet parking was fast and courteous. Both lunch and breakfast in the Brasserie 701 were okay; staff was prompt and courteous, food was decent. Mid-afternoon drinks on the rooftop terrace was spectacular and memorable. We would highly recommend Hotel Place d'Armes!

The hotel was good, but I was expecting more for the price. I wasn’t wowed.

The location is amazing, and only topped by the staff. The staff had wonderful suggestions for everything we were looking for. We had a wonderful stay!

Walking distance to downtown, perfect location!

The hotels location is excellent. The rooms are clean and it has many amenities. On the negative, the blinds are awful. They let tons of light in early morning hours. The food in the restaurant was very good. Service was awful. Decor is not my personal style.

Would definitely stay here again. Check in was quick and easy. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was so close to many restaurants and shops so we didn't need to use our car on most days. We had a couple of issues in the room - door would not lock and the shower was just a trickle but as soon as we called to let them know about it, maintenance was there to take care of the issues right away. We will definitely be back.

My daughter and I had an incredible stay. Great location. Easy walk to Old Town. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Room was clean. Felt safe and welcomed.

This was an amazing property in a great location. Would highly recommend for a short stay. We did not spend much time at the hotel and therefore did not use any of the amenities. We did have a diner at the 701 Bistro on the hotel property and it was a nice restaurant.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We really enjoyed all the amenities, especially the pool table and fitness centre. The common areas were beautifully designed and very welcoming — we loved relaxing on the comfy sofas and watching sports programs on the big TV. The restaurant was fantastic as well, with great food and atmosphere. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our stay. Overall, this hotel created such a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both of us. We would definitely love to come back agai
