The staff was amazing, everyone was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The Christmas dinner was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. We had a wonderful spa experience and truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

I want to give the hotel 5 stars, but there were a few snags during our stay. First, we got a room that was very cold and dated (although they were nice enough to switch rooms after the first night). Second, we sat down for breakfast one morning and after 20 minutes of waiting, without anyone asking us anything, we sat up and left. Eventually we ended up ordering room service and the breakfast was indeed delicious. Otherwise, the hotel is great, it is perfectly located in the heart of old town and walking distance to so many amazing restaurants.

The staff were rude and not understanding of our situation. The room we had was right below the fitness centre, so for most of the day you could hear people running on treadmills. When I bought this up they didn’t seem to care. The fireplace didn’t work. The whole experience didn’t feel welcoming. Also the room was very cold. When are flight was delayed for a day and asked if we can get the same room rate they said no, which is ridiculous, this was during the ice storm so traveling to a different hotel would be very hard. One of the worst hotels I have stayed in.

They put us in building 1 where the elevator was next to the restaurant, so it’s a super busy hallway with servers passing by all the time. We were on the 2nd floor, so we heard all the noise from snow shovels and cars, which went on till late at night and started early in the morning. We asked for our room to be cleaned once during our stay and they only cleaned half of it. They made the bed and replenished the coffee pods and toiletries, but didn’t give us clean cups for some reason.

Room was clean and very nice. The fireplace was not working on remote but the maintenance guy came and put it on manual. The TV in the main room did not cast as it should but we just rolled with it. The lobby was ok, the location was amazing, close to Notre Dame basilica and a few short blocks to Rue St. Paul. The guy who checked us in was very nice and admitted he was new to the city but turned us on to the concierge which was fine. The same desk person offered us a late check out which was so nice, so overall very nice stay and would highly recommend overall!
