A very nice hotel I go to every year. Use it mostly when taking in a Senators game. I normally rate this hotel as a 5 star, but this time it sort of missed the mark. We booked a two night stay and the fridge only had two bottles of water in it. Before heading up to our room on Friday night, we went the vending machines for some munchies but they were mostly empty except for some pop. The only answer from the front desk was an "Oh well." The following morning we had the two coffee cups, but the room did not get serviced that day, so nothing available for the following morning. Other than that a great place.

Room was very nice, the heat was on and lowest it would set was 18.5, windows are able to open though which helps. Good blackout curtains. Fridge in room. Microwave at request for free to reheat food if you need it. They have a cafe too that has a coffee and breakfast sandwich for $8 and other snacks / sandwiches

was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I woke up in the morning to a very strong smell of urine coming from the bed. After checking, it became clear the urine was actually coming from the mattress itself and soaking up through the sheets. The mattress was clearly contaminated and the bedding had not been properly cleaned or checked before the room was given to a guest. Unfortunately, I only discovered this after sleeping in the bed the entire night, meaning I unknowingly slept in urine. I took photos and a video clearly showing the liquid soaking up through the sheets from the mattress. What makes this even more frustrating is how the situation has been handled. When I checked out, I specifically asked to speak with a manager and was told someone would contact me. I also sent an email with the photos and video documenting the issue. Despite that, no manager has reached out to me at all. Sleeping in a contaminated bed is completely unacceptable and a serious hygiene issue. The lack of response from management afterward is just as concerning. I hope the property takes this seriously, both in addressing the cleanliness standards and in how they respond when a guest raises a serious issue.

The room had fingerprints on literally every mirror and window\glass. especially the bathroom. Internet was a hassle to connect and stay connected. wasnt able to order room service. had to go in person. But the food was great. people were great. overall average in my opinion. I expected more but it was a cheaper room.

My family and I have stayed at the Brookstreet Hotel on six different occasions over the years, and it has always been a place we’ve looked forward to visiting. Because of those consistently great experiences in the past, I felt it was important to reach out and share some concerns about our most recent stay. Prior to our arrival, my credit card had unfortunately been compromised. I called the front desk ahead of time to ask if there was any flexibility regarding the security deposit. I was told there was nothing that could be done and that a credit card was required. While I understand policies are in place for a reason, the interaction felt somewhat dismissive and set a disappointing tone before we even arrived. Upon arrival the front desk told me there was absolutely no issue putting the $200 charge on debit , which took my be surprise and upset me a little as I rushed around for 24hrs prior to get a credit card setup and activated so I could pay the deposit, which ultimately I did NOT need to do. When we checked in and arrived at our room, there were several dirty plates and room service trays sitting outside our door. I called the front desk to have them removed, but an hour later they were still there. After calling again, they were finally cleared — but only after approximately three and a half hours had passed.
