Simple but good

We stayed here 25 years ago and can’t believe we stayed away so long! Quiet, good food, beautiful gardens and wildlife, friendly staff. We stayed in the Junior suite which had a large refrigerator, microwave, hotplate and utensils to cook for yourself if you want. We will be back.

Reasonable rate. Initial male receptionist was awesome. The other staff not were not warm or helpful. My purse was taken while I was at dinner. I think I left it behind walked to my room realized and went back. No staff was concerned in the least management included. Housekeeper was the only person who expressed concern. She helped me tear apart the room to find it. I did not. Pool is very tiny no poolside service for food or drinks.

The only good for this Hostal was the location near to Allbrook Mall, I received my Room around 3:30 pm even when they knew that I was very tired and reached the Hostal around 5am Very bad experience, just one guy for the Reception was nice the rest of the staff very rude

The staff was lovely! Professional and helpful. The restaurant and pool were very relaxing.

The pool is cute, but I didn’t use it. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful, the front desk staff not so much. Indifferent at best, not particularly friendly or welcoming. One thing I like about this place is that there’s a washer and dryer. But bring quarters and your own detergent. The desk staff have no change and make little effort to help, except to call the restaurant to see if they have change. I keep coming back here because it’s quiet, clean, and in a beautiful natural setting while still very close to the city and the airport. For birdwatchers, there’s excellent birding just behind the inn at the swamp (St Mary’s Catchment). These things, plus the affordable price keep me coming back despite the less than friendly welcome.

Close to train bus and air transportation.

Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and hotel is close transportation to areas within Panama City on other provinces via bus train and air.

Very loud in the room and the curtains did not block much light at all. The walls are super thin and you can hear your neighbors and the parties outside all night long. Super convenient to be so close to the airport but not ideal if you want to catch some sleep before your flight.

The room was clean and the AC worked great. The only problem was the breakfast. it was cold, no meat, and the selection was minimal

I can’t speak for the full stay since my plans changed midway, but I can talk about how amazing they were when things went sideways. Because of some tech issues, my room suddenly wasn’t available anymore. Instead of excuses, they immediately took full responsibility, handled everything and booked me a room at a nearby hotel at no extra cost. No stress, no back and forth, just pure proactiveness. That level of responsiveness is exactly what you hope for from any business. Mistakes happen, but how they handled it was top-notch. I’ll definitely be back on a future visit.

I’ll break in was a quaint motel with incredible service and a very nice pool and restaurant.

The bathroom grout is very very moldy and looks really gross. It was hard to even think of wanting to get in the shower. As soon as you walked in you see a very large smashed mosquito on the wall which I’ve read about by another previous traveler but thought no that would have been cleaned up ?? Nope still there… It’s very loud and the water runs very loud from neighbors bathroom which I assume makes it an older building.A plus is the great breakfast and close proximity to everything in Panama City. However, had to say I would never go back to the hotel. The staff was nice though. One lady put my food in the Steph refrigerator since there are no refrigerators in the room that was very nice of her. This is the only time I’ve written a bad review so makes me sad to do that.
