The hotel is amazing with plenty of activities to do. Even though the photos show younger people and the majority are over 50s even the entertainment is targeted to this group. The breakfast and the food is amazing and the grounds is breathtaking.

Think we were about 50years too young for this resort. As it was like a pensioners retreat. Breakfast was ok one morning. Better next. Not much breakfast options on menu. Booking your slot for breakfast and dinner in advance not always possible practical when sightseeing. . Breakfast is included. But you cannot go when you want for breakfast. You have pre book you table in advance. If you remember to leave enough time to do the walk. The maze like corridors and lift situation. No mattter were you go that smell. Never does. Once you have smelt it. You cannot un smell it. You only option us to run to nearest window which is closed or door which is button assist. Slow motion to allow mobility scooters to pass. We did have a good game of croquet on lawn. Room was dirty. And window look out onto concrete 70s jungle. The grounds were lovely we did see deer , phesant, squirells etc.

Not many Diisabled spaces available in North wing over populated with electric charging points. Need an auto button on doors at north wing entrance for wheelchair users. Also hinges on room doors should allow slow movement for wheelchair access. Was not impressed with cheese omelette in the market restaurant staff did not ask if everything was ok with food served. Food was good in Duke restaurant and very helpful.

Room and the rest of the property were excellent. Food very good. It’s a difficult place to find one’s way around at first. No porters and a long way from car park to reception. Staff mostly very pleasant.

We stayed at Heythrop Park over the Easter weekend. The hotel is beautiful and big. Our room was in a perfect location near in the North wing and we were very close to their spa facilities. There was no information saying we had to check-in at a different location. This is what we were informed by reception at North wing. Never managed to figure that out!! First day we had breakfast at The Travelling Duke which was good as everything is served at the table apart from cereals. For the 2nd morning we wanted to go to The Market Kitchen restaurant but it was full. The lady at their front desk was very kind and accommodated our request and gave us a table. We enjoyed our stay

Staff are great, facilities are very good and the hotel is in beautiful surroundings. The only thing that let us down was the breakfast at Brasserie32, it was genuinely awful

Reception was very busy and had to queue on most occasions. Receptionists were helpful but needed more than one person on duty at busy times. Room was comfortable and a good size. Bar staff in the Bassey bar went missing for long periods of time on the 23rd April.

We booked a last-minute 2-night stay at Heythrop Hotel & Spa in mid-April for a birthday, with a great deal including breakfast, dinner, and wine. The estate is beautiful and peaceful, with an impressive manor setting. Check-in was smooth, though parking can be a long walk—use the drop-off if needed. Our quiet North Wing room was comfortable, slightly warm but with opening windows, a nice bathroom, and handy night lighting. Facilities were excellent—we used the pool, hot tub, and steam room (note early closing), and the golf course looked great. Evening entertainment was enjoyable, and there were plenty of relaxing lounges, games, and a billiards room. Dining was very good: Brasserie 32 and The Duke both offered great food and service, and breakfast was plentiful and self-service. The atmosphere was calm and suited to a more mature crowd. It’s cashless, so bring a card, and pre-book activities early. Expect lots of walking due to the hotel’s size. Overall, we loved our stay and would happily return.

Fantastic spa facilities, gorgeous food in the Manor House ( pretty standard pub fare in Travelling Duke) really impressive entertainment which far exceeded expectation’s. Vast majority of staff were excellent ( only exception being the 2 reluctant waitresses who were drafted in to assist in the breakfast service in the main restaurant on Thursday, they provided no assistance whatsoever to the very overwhelmed and hard working staff already there). We were very impressed with the venue, its picturesque setting and the fact that facilities were available before and after check in/ out. A fantastic short break/ we will be back

Room was nice, spacious and exceptionally clean. But the food was poor, avoid the Market kitchen. Brasserie 34 was the nicest. If you have mobility issues the hotel is massive and there is no assistance getting from the car park to reception with your luggage

The bedroom was spacious and clean. Everywhere was clean and in good condition - no peeling paint or mustiness you sometimes get with old buildings. The staff could not do enough for you. Everywhere was warm and comfortable. The bars were busy enough to have ambience, but not packed. The pool was brill.

Relaxing and welcoming stay. Deluxe room was very tastefully decorated with comfy bed and very quiet (south wing). Plenty to do and great for walking as it has 440 acres of varied grounds from formal gardens, woodlands with streams, croquet lawns. Amazing views from the guest lounge areas and a modern spa.

Heythrop is nestled in the Cotswods, in and around a magnificent 18thc manor. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous building. Plenty to occupy. Lots of options to eat drink while the time away, not forgetting Spa and golf options. Staff are very helpful, rooms are comfy.
