The swimming pool is large and spacious. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the food was good for breakfast and for dinner in the bar.

Chucking in with very helpful and pleasant reception was excellent. Mobility room was not what we booked and had a very hard double bed with 2 better singles. No body lotion just a squirty container of antceptic smelling all purpose soap. Dinner because we were with a group was served in the furthest room from the kitchen and food was very low quality. Breakfast again we were allocated the room furthest from the servery, which meant cold food by the time we were eating it, a Woe betide if you had forgotten anything. The pool was clean and another welcoming pleasant staff member sorted towels etc. On the whole, some excellent willing staff were let down by tired /dated rooms and cheapscape food.

The bedding was very tied and it was very noisy. We stayed for two nights and both nights we had to listen to the TV in the room next door.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in April. We had 2 small labs with us. We could not take them into the bar or restaurant, but that was NOT a problem. The team were wonderful with us and our dogs. They went above and beyond for us. They made us up a beautiful table in the library and served us drinks, breakfast & a wonderful dinner there along with our labs. The service, food and hotel were lovely. It made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you guys

Celtic Royal is basically a very good hotel, albeit quite old, actually historical. Some amenities could be improved, such as having a place to put your toiletries and a tv larger than a size 10 shoe. Two twin beds put together made for a nice king, and the best nights sleep we had on the trip so far. Breakfast was fairly good.

Everything great apart from room temperature lack of ventilation.windows did not open enough. Were given a small table fan which didn't help much. So had two uncomfortable nights. No aircon but ceiling fan would have been a help.

Slighly faded glory old character hotel. Some money has been spent on communal areas and the swimming pool and spa are decent. Would rather stay here than the chain hotel options.

A few days of an extended trip, to do some hiking & walks in the area. Staff were fabulous & our 2nd floor room met all our needs. Due to the mild weather, we found the room quite warm but I would say that’s an unusual occurrence. We enjoyed the Bistro a couple of the nights & found the food delicious. Beds were comfortable & shower pressure good. Loved the town.

After an exhilarating climb up Mount Snowdon, Celtic Royal Hotel & Spa proved to be the perfect place to unwind. The hotel offers spacious, well-appointed rooms, providing plenty of comfort after a long day outdoors. The entire property is spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay. Ample parking spaces made arriving hassle-free, which is a great plus for those traveling by car. Stayed for one night in May 2025, and it was exactly the relaxing retreat needed after the adventure on Snowdon. Would highly recommend for those looking for a comfortable and well-kept hotel in Caernarfon!

Lovely hotel, great location. Lovely decor. Quality furnishings. Deluxe room was great, but overpriced for what we had in the room. Bar and drinks were good and reasonably priced. A la carte meal wasn’t that great. Breakfast didn’t offer a decent variety considering cost. Only filter coffee on offer.

After a week long road trip around Ireland staying at various types of accommodation from b&b’s to hostels we thought we’d push the boat out on the last night and book a night at the Celtic Royal hotel it looked amazing on the internet it was the most expensive accommodation of the trip and breakfast wasn’t included which had been included at the other stays. On arrival the hotel looked impressive and had a large car park, the reception was equally impressive as was the entrance hall and staircase. Check in was ok and the receptionist was helpful and informative. We went into the the room and it all went downhill from there, the room was incredibly dated with dull yellow walls and a red patterned carpet straight out of the 1980’s as were the wall and ceiling lights which were very dull and ineffective creating a really gloomy environment . There was tea and coffee making facilities which was a bonus but for a room for four people there was only 4 milk sachets which was inadequate and frankly penny pinching, again all the previous establishments had at least 2 milks or more per person. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was adequate. Upon using the bathroom the disappointment deepened with tired decor, broken floor tiles and worst of all the towel radiator clearly hadn’t been dusted/cleaned properly in weeks (see pics) I was going to raise the issues on checkout when I expected to be asked how my stay had been however the receptionist never asked me!Hence this review.
