Great for traveling with teens. Lots of attractions and restaurants in walking distance.

The staff was amazing since the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. The room was clean, the bathroom was really nice. We tried the Boreal bath bomb and another bath salt, both made our mini staycation relaxing. We also had afternoon tea at the lounge. I am vegan and I was not disappointed. Each item burst in your mouth with flavour. Loved the whole experience. Z

We enjoyed the Shangri-La Toronto so much that we returned for a second stay during the same trip. Once again, everything was excellent — the hotel is elegant, beautifully maintained and incredibly comfortable, with warm and professional service throughout. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring the city, and the consistently high standard made both visits feel special. We would return without hesitation.

We had high hopes for this hotel but unfortunately it didn’t feel 5*. A very cold check in experience considering we had been asked to let the team know in advance of our arrival from the UK. No hello, no welcome to the hotel, simply staring at a screen typing away - trying to upsell an upgrade room. Considering we spent 7 days here it simply felt like a room. The pool and sauna is very much not a relaxing experience either - lots of children and residents who don’t really care that people are on holiday. Ultimately in summation, this is a great choice for a short business trip but definitely not somewhere I’d recommend if you’re searching for a relaxing getaway downtown in Toronto.

The best hotel stay I have ever had

The hotel staff was incredible, everyone was so gracious. Fantastic location a block from the TTC and street cars, definitely will be returning.

Beautiful hotel and spacious room. Very comfortable bed and everyone working at hotel was friendly and helpful. My room faces the main street and I could hear siren in the middle of the night. I would stay here again despite of the uncontrollable noise.

Value for money is questionable versus toronto’s other eight or nine true 5 star hotels. House car is NEVER available and we were in a higher tier suite. (4 days) Room service was good. Not great. We also didn’t order anything to drink with room service yet they didn’t even bring ice water. Which is very odd for a five star hotel.

OMG!!! This is by far my favorite hotel. From the lobby to the hallways to the room itself, this is a 5 star hotel. I had requested a room that was in a quiet area, and did they deliver. Very end of the hallway in a separate area where only 2 suites were separated from the rest of the hallway. Quiet room and very quiet hallways. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious and spacious. Separate glass and marble shower stall and separate water closet. Double vanity which was convenient. Nice sized room and very clean. Staff was very welcoming at check in. We stayed 2 nights and I needed more towels after the first night and they promptly brought them to the room. Can't recall the gentleman's name but he was so nice and friendly too. Very close to the subway and walking distance to everything. I would stay here again, no question about it.
