It was a unique stay in a unique place. We enjoyed it very much

Best hotel on our week long tour of the Highlands. Like stepping back in time, it felt traditional and lovely decor and history to it. Felt cosy, welcoming and the food and staff fantastic. The setting too incredible, the drive and location in the heart of terrain. You won't be disappointed.

This was place was very nice. The restaurant was excellent, the venison steak was delicious. The property grounds are very beautiful, overall a great place to stay.

This is a very beautiful and lovely hotel. Very clean rooms and very friendly staff. The scenery is amazing and breakfast was lovely.

Quite out of the way but the restaurant was really good. Our room needed some TLC, paint appeared overdue for a refresh (mostly in washroom that seemed to be painted halfway but not complete). Bed comfortable.

We staying in the Stewart’s room. Comfortable room with separate shower and tub. Bartender Byron was so much fun we earned a noise complaint!

Beautiful location and very comfortable stay

This was an endearing quirky hotel with great staff but marred by soggy fish (chips were good) and a tasteless beef burger. It was a shame as it otherwise has lots of appeal.

Only stayed one night but the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you like modern then you’re going to the wrong place. The decor fits the building perfectly with really beautiful artwork and fittings. Evening meal and breakfast were both superb !! Would definitely return and hopefully next time stay longer to take advantage of the outdoors as the location and scenery is stunning.

We had to carry our heavy bags yo the third floor, which was very difficult. A working lift would have been beneficial.

Wonderful location and fantastic staff

Staff was not friendly and offered no explanations regarding breakfast or which rooms on the main floor were open for guest use. Since it is INCREDIBLY difficult to get to and there’s no towns nearby, we had no options but to eat dinner there. The food was good but this definitely brought up our overall costs. Our stay was okay but given that it was by far our most expensive stay of our Scotland trip, I can’t say I’d recommend it. P

Wonderful castle on beautiful walkable grounds. Would definitely recommend it!

lovely remote destination, solitude is the key , no light pollution , see the stars clearly and lovely walks in the morning

The room was nice, view's are spectacular. However the hotel itself is tired needs updating even just a lick of pain, new flooring etc would work. Beautiful walks and grounds. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was ok nothing special but not expensive. The pictures in the website wasn't a true representation of the hotel as I said needs a good update and clean. The bath in our room needs replacing asap I'd say. However everything else was good
