Room in good condition and well decorated. Lovely comfortable and clean bedding. Took a long time for hot water to come through which was disappointinf as was the water pressure disappointing and the water

Excellent stay in one of the large rooms. Very convenient to be able to walk into Harrogate. Parking very easy and cheap right next door to the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Couldn’t use shower due to such low water pressure.

Extremely poor. First, we were asked if we wished to add breakfast to the booking, despite already having booked this. The system was clearly not working. Then, we were given a room key to room 107. Upon arrival, there was already guests in that room, a serious safety and privacy breach. The replacement room seemed nice, but the shower pressure was non existent and was a trickle out. Also, the shower head was so low, that unless you are 5 feet 5 inches or below, you could not fit underneath the shower head. At 6 feet 1 inches, I could not get anything below my upper back underneath the dismal shower stream. Then, on returning to the room at 11.30pm, the air conditioning unit was making a repeated grinding metal noise. Reception was called and maintenance arrived. They said they had been already aware of the malfunctioning unit (so why were they offering this to guests?) and the solution was to either sleep with it as it was, or turn off ALL POWER TO THE ROOM, which would stop the noise but meant we could not use any of the facilities in the room. My wife is pregnant and this was not suitable or appropriate. We ended up packing our bags and leaving at just after midnight to get a taxi all the way home. Way below a 4 star hotel from start to an early finish.

You can always tell the class of a hotel by it’s fluffy towels! A very good find, cleanliness, staff and breakfast excellent! Very quiet too!

Good location close to town centre, friendly & helpful staff,

Great hotel, but wouldn’t book for a relaxing stay! The hotel itself is lovely and in a great, central location, but unfortunately our experience didn’t match the setting! The hotel has party nights with an DJ, which we hadn’t been made aware of. If we had known we would have booked a different hotel or at least been prepared. Music was very loud. When we spoke to staff about it, there was no real apology or understanding. One of them said, “What do you expect us to do?” and mentioned they try to put people on floors 1 or 2 when events are on—but we were on floor 3, which wasn’t very helpful! To top it off, we received a call in the middle of the night at 1:30 a.m. from head office asking if we were another guest. Our room phone showed 12 missed calls from them, which was really unsettling and disrupted our sleep. We also had issues trying to get a drink at the bar—on two occasions we waited for quite a while but were ignored, even though there were only a couple of other people there. No greeting or “be with you in a minute”. In the end, we left and went to a different bar. It’s a shame, because the hotel and location are great, but the lack of communication and poor customer service really affected our stay.

Lovely hotel, great, friendly service. Upgraded to a suite on check-in which made the stay special. Breakfast good value for money and lovely options. Short walk to Harrogate shops and restaurants. Will stay again.

Allocated the incorrect room on check in. Room booked was described as city/park view. It was neither. Although the room itself was lovely, it looked directly onto a brick wall. Receptionist argued its what we booked, and that we could not get a refund. We were prepared to leave and go to an alternative hotel when they then offered to move us to a room with the view as we originaly booked. So description totally incorrect or booked into wrong room, still not clear which.

Perfect hotel for a weekend in Harrogate. Well placed for the centre with reasonably priced car park next door. Modern, comfortable room albeit a bit warm and the aircon a bit too noisy to leave on overnight but overall excellent.

We loved the location and the room. The restaurant was really great. The staff were all friendly. We had an issue with the shower not draining, so you could only take a few minutes of a shower before letting it drain to avoid it overflowing,

We have stayed here before it’s a small but lovely hotel, I would recommend it to friends and family. Nice firm beds which suit me well. The food is lovely in the bar/restaurant, the staff are lovely and attentive. Only problem was we were told when my husband phone in advance that all rooms have walk in showers but our room is shower over the bath which I am unable to use due to my disability that means I can only wash in the sink 😣
