Room extremely hot too hot had a fan but didn’t work too well , noisy by the main road so couldn’t open the window close to the station and city station nice breakfast but couldn’t toast your own bread and croissant too hard as left under hot plate not much choice of fruit as part from three pieces of tinned peach and grapefruit

Central to the city for shopping and site seeing... Noisy at night due to being close to bypass road which is understandable.

Great value for any stay in Chester. Just on the edge of the city so your are no more than a few minutes walk from the centre. Hotel has the benefit of parking spaces. Staff were excellent and so friendly. Ovall look of the hotel good but a few signs of aging. Spa nice enought and the addition of a buffet breakfast makes it a decent hotel.

We really like the location and the room was nice for a couple. The shower was small and the wifi was very weak and dropped regularly.

Ideally placed, a short stroll along the canal into the city centre, great for the bus station. Our room was in the annex over the canal facing a busy road, it was a big room, comfy with tea/coffee toiletries etc. We live on a fairly busy road so the noise didn't bother us, but if you want peace and quiet I'd suggest an upgrade to a canal facing room. Breakfast was good, a great selection. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were very helpful, especially Caroline at reception who was excellent & went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Only let down would be the sausages at breakfast which were inedible as they were so rubbery but other than this I can’t fault them & would definitely stay again.

Food in restaurant is good but quite pricey. The extra we paid for a balcony with canal view was not worth the cost as you could only see the canal if you were stood up looking over the wall which enclosed the balcony Cleaning was adequate but the balcony was never cleaned as a beer mat was on the floor when we arrived and still there when we left The bedroom was restocked with tea coffee etc but the bed was not made and which I have never known before as I stay in hotels every week but this is not a major issue All in all a pleasant stay for my birthday but rather expensive for what it is I think you are paying for it’s location to the city more than anything else

Large but soulless room, bare brick wallpaper and a perfect view of the dual carriageway out of the window.
