We have stayed in Midtown Richardson some years back due to its close proximity to MRT and Ximending. For our recent trip, we did not hesitate to return to Midtown Richardson. The buffet was not bad, with many varieties of food to choose from. The only downside was on the last night in Taipei, there was construction happening near the hotel and it was carried out after 12 AM and it lasted for about an hour. Our sleep was disturbed as we have an early flight to catch. But overall, we would recommend Midtown Richardson to travellers who are looking at convenience.

Nice and big room. I think I got a free upgrade from the hotel. The room is clean. The location is well located. The check-in time is strict at 3 pm. If it could be more lenient, it would be perfect.

Very comfortable hotel, located close to Ximen MRT station and Ximending Night Market.

The hotel needs a dehumidifier, the air conditioner needs to be cleaned regularly to work better (my room's air conditioner has a problem with not being cold at night even though it's set to 15-16 degrees, so you should add hand sanitizer for guests, no one uses soap now, so the toilet should be cleaner and it will be ok

Best location but the room has a terrible smell.

Soundproof was not good. We can hear everything outside, next room, upstairs. So weird at night. Air con cannot be adjusted. The date we stayed, the weather was so cold. I must turn off the air con, so the toilet had a bad smell. But its location is great. Near metro (Ximen Station Exit 4). Breakfast is delicious.

I have 4 night in midtown, we have 1 night with broken AC, very hot the whole night already complain and only ask to wait till tomorrow without any compliment or extra services.

The room is not soundproof. The sofa is quite sunken. There is a loud noise from the water pipes almost all the time.

The room looks very old. If they put new wallpaper, it should look better. The carpet has many stains from the hallway and in the bedroom. There is mold on the edge of the shower room. And because the room has no windows, there is a bit of a smell, especially at the head of the bed on the bathroom side. Overall, it is okay to sleep, but I don't feel like going back to the room. I want to stay outside the room more. If they improve the cleanliness, it will be very good.

Good location, easy to travel, next to MRT, in the city center and shopping area Ximending. The room has complete facilities. Breakfast has a variety of choices. But the disadvantage is that the room is on the 12th floor... The room is not very soundproof. Wifi can be connected but cannot use the internet. The carpet is not very clean, lots of dust.
